Wow, Judy that blanket looks great for your lst attempt. :smile: I love fleece material but I hate to sew and can't, so I buy all my furbabies stuff. Gizzy looks like he's making himself right at home on "his new blanket". Ah... he deserves this one. ;)

Well, Gizzy will be happy since the consensus seems to be that he gets to keep it. Remember this! You have started him on a life of crime. Here comes Gizzy, the blanket snatcher! :D

the blanket looks good, Its pretty hard to mess those up. I've been making them for famly members for years. I bought different colors of fleece and I'm waiting to see if i get male or female before I make mine :)

I made a blanket like that for Reece and was pretty proud of myself too!! Its quite expensive to make though so we only have one lmao...yours is very cute!! We have a skunk too!! lol...

Yea, that fleece can get pricey! I lucked out and spotted a sale on some at Walmart...$4.44 a yard. Usually it's close to twice that.

Is it the same skunk? There were several other animals in the TY bow wow collection, but this was my favorite. I can't remember what the others were right now.

Yep the same skunk...we have the pink fur bone too and I want a few more..my guys just LOVE them!!

Great job!!! It turned out great. I always look for sales on fleece and look at the remnant section too.

what a cute blanket!! i made one for Bella before i got her from the breeder so she would have something snuggly when i got her home! she looooooves that blanket now! hers is light pink and purple and i embroidered a heart on the front of it! she sleeps on that thing day and night! for your first blanket that is really good! they are super easy once you get the hang of it! yours is really cute! i can see Gizmo really likes it! haha

How cute, I love the color as it seems your Gizmo does.
My Gizmo has one like it also but a darker color.
We take it it work with us and everyone loves it.
Yours seems larger though, how big did you cut your squares?

Well, thank you. :)

I was sort of winging it, so I cut the yard of fabric in half. It's more of a rectangle than a square. It measured 37 X 29 or so before I cut the fringe.

I would love to know how to embroider on it, that would be so cool. My sewing machine is the basic beginner model, and I don't think Gizzy will let go of it long enough to let me hand embroider it. I bet that's cute though!

That's smart. I plan to wait on the next one until I have more info, now that I know I can do it.

Awww, Gypsy says she has lots of blankies and Gizmo can come and share with her if you do take it away! :D
