So . . Shopping
 
I have gone out this past week already pre shopping for my SB !

yes I know we don't have anyone yet. But I am really excited. I am trying to figure what places have what. . . If I am going to have enough of time to order. . . If it going to have a theme . . . . Tues is the last day for people to get the questionaire in.

So what have you been doing ? . . or is it just me !? LOL

Teri it's not just you, I keep looking at the sign up thread and the questionaire and keep thinking about what I will do depending on which buddy Lola gets.

Unfortunately some of you guys have been a little shy on giving out much info about you and your pup in regards to themes and colors and stuff you like. from past experience I know it makes it so much more fun to pick out stuff if you know a lot about your secret buddy. Also please post links to some good photos of your pup and you with your pup if possible, I know myself and others in the past have enjoyed having things made with photos on it.

I have made contact with a couple vendors to have them on standby too. And I have picked up a couple little things as well. I get so giddy about my buddy it's hard to contain myself. The excitement is building buddy Mates!

I am going to start it for you. I hope this helps getting to know us a little better.

We do not like word t shirts, cartoons; ie Spider-Man, Mickey mouse, sock monkey etc or cutsy boy items; ie teddy bears or powder blue.

We really love steampunk. For some that don't know it is the victorian era with industrial. Very cool.

It is so fun for the count down. . . I too spoke to a few vendors. I want to make sure I find some cool things. I just found a new vendor today !! I always have the best time shopping for my SB. . . I do get carried away. . . But i can't help myself lol . . Just want to put the biggest smile on my SB's face. .

I have a question for everyone in the gift exchange, are any of you NOT on facebook? So many of us have our best pictures there. So if you are not on Facebook and you click on Galen's page are you able to see his photos?

It depends on the settings of the pages. . With Galen's page, it is a public page, you can see everything. You can flip through all his picture albums. If you went to my personal page. You could not see anything. My settings on my personal page doesn't allow you too.

The best way of checking is to log out of facebook and go to the page. That way you can see what others not on facebook can see.

I have a facebook page, but I am not on facebook much and don't post too many pictures there, I should start doing that more :p:D. When it comes to pictures, obviously being an avid scrapbooker, I love to do photo gifts. One of the problems I run into is that when they are uploaded to YT they are such a small file that they are not good quality enough to work with. So, FB would be a good resource. Thanks for the idea!

Shelly that is why I started putting most of my photos on FB, because here they all have be sized way down so you loose quality. But I think you need to have a FB membership to see anything on FB regardless if it is public or not. Even if you do not log on it seems like it has a way of remembering that you have an account. I will see if I can get someone like my sister who does not have an account to check from her computer.

For anyone that has pictures of their pups on FB they should check the settings to make sure they are public, I don't have a page for Lola but LOL she is the main part of mine and her pictures are public.

Your scrapbooking is amazing. Any pup would be so excited to get photo gifts. Definitely post on facebook with some pics too . Like you said they picture size is better

I do not have a Facebook page. I was able to look on galens page but it is because my phone insists on auto remembering my boyfriends facebook because I logged into a music website where he had his Facebook linked up (drives me nuts but I don't know how to make it go away!) I have had problems seeing any information on a typical public Facebook page without having an account. They make it very difficult. With a direct link you are usually able to access a public page but you aren't allowed to even use facebook search to find a person unless you have a Facebook account.

Sometimes I wish I had one- there are some fun things going on there! Fun contests and networking :) but I honestly don't think I could handle one more thing occupying my brain in the tech world. If i impulsively change my mind I will totally share my Facebook info. If I owned a computer I would probably do it. It would be nice to have an easier time with pictures- that is frustrating to lose the quality due to a resize.

I got distracted by work today while I was downloading pictures to add to Emma's album. I know that I am excited. Ive thought about a few things I'd like to pick up and I'm trying to think how to stay within budget. LOL

So I am able to see it on my phone since it recognizes my deuce as my guys Facebook but when I type the direct URL above into a real computer (at work) it says no go :( lilah definitely deserves a Facebook page :yorkieg: I think I might get too involved!
