The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXXI, our THIRTY FIRST Gift Exchange, will take place in February 2013. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE.

Effective January 2012, we have revised some rules of the YorkieTalk Gift Exchange. Please be aware of the new rules. Please note that the new minimum has been raised to $40. Here is the link to the GE Rules & Regulations:

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

- You have 250 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You joined YorkieTalk before November 1, 2012.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please make sure you have read the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread as well as the Gift Exchange FAQ before you sign up!

Please do not sign up unless you are CURRENTLY a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is now $40 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange Rules & Regulations. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange FAQ.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for SIGNUPS. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by January 1, 2013 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end January 31, 2013. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting February 1, 2013. The deadline for sending out gifts will be February 28, 2013.

Please note you must post a "Thank You" thread to your buddy within 2 weeks of receiving your package, unless you notify us in advance (family vacation, emergencies, etc).

Toys - He’s still figuring out toys, but he definitely prefers soft squeaky toys. His favorites are posted in his GE Album (link below).

Snacks - He cannot have processed snacks, but is not allergic to any type of meat. Bully sticks and homemade snacks (particularly chicken) are typically what he gets. HE LOVES FOOD!

Clothes style - We love plaid and argyle and sweaters that would, perhaps, be considered "preppy". Daddy loves it when he wears polo shirts and camo and we are a very Marvel-loving household. He wears t-shirts too, particularly in the warmer seasons.

We love home-made stuff, so that will always be very much appreciated! We are a wine-and-dine type of family so his "outside" clothes are socially preppy. He also LOVES his PJs!

He loves to cuddle and frequently goes to work with me. We have a protective bark that we're working on. His best friend is big brother Odysseus (cat) who thinks he's a dog (he plays with Zeus' toys more than he does!)

Toys - Anything that squeaks! She likes balls but Mom prefers if she gets balls that they be of a larger dog size variety so Mandie's brother (who WILL steal her ball tsk tsk) doesn't get choked on them

Snacks - Bullysticks from BestBullySticks.com are a favorite, also Bill Jack liver treats or Zukes treats

Clothing Style - Pretty much anything. Mandie is all tomboy so tshirts, sweatshirts and sweaters are something she'll use most often. She does like to put on a dress for photo shoots sometimes, though...she's training to be a model ;)

Nothing really extra - ONE REQUEST for our SB = Mandie has a brother that loves to tear stuffed animals apart, so if you would like to get her a stuffed toy that is a squeaky (which is something she DOES like), I request that it be one of those "Durables" (these are like really hard rubber inside, no stuffing, but furry on the outside like a stuffed animal). Thanks and we can't wait!!:)

Georgie is a pretty laid back guy as far as clothes. He loves new toys the most! He is easy to please for the most part. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle with Mommy and Daddy. He is now an only furchild but seems to be ok with it. His Mommy is very excited to participate in this exchange and we can't wait to spoil our SB:D

Wallee is an easy going guy. He loves toys that squeek all squeeky toys, but mommy prefers the ones she can just wash in the sink rather than the washing machine. We also appreciate home made stuff as mommy also loves to create and appreciates the time and effort put into it.

He is a brat that will not eat treats unless it is duck jersey but no china stuff loves deer antlers and paragon dog chews, he a punk type puppy that is very hyper loves to play and really loves playing with kid's water sprinkler toys in the backyard!! We love love love homemade stuff and he loves blankets but other than that he is not picky really.... Oh except the nosier the toy and the bigger the better lol

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - KS loves squeaky toys, preferably the kind that DO NOT have stuffing in them. She has been known to rip into ones with stuffing and shred it all over the house. She loves plastic type toys and rope toys. And her absolute favorite are interactive toys. She already has a hide a squirrel toy but would adore another interactive toy like that one. She loves Blue Buffalo Blue Bits treats, any flavor. Also loves the Blue Buffalo Blue Bones in the MINI size. Also she loves treats by Fromm. As for clothing, we love it all. We love dresses, sweaters, tshirts, pj's, pantsuits, coats, etc. we are it hard to please. We love girls stuff. She really needs some house shoes though! :)

Joey has an older sister (lab), so just make sure he doesnt get anything too tiny. Also, I try to limit their treats to crunchy ones, because the chewy ones seem to upset both their bellies.

She loves snacks, but it varies (she's picky). She tends to only likes the chewy kind and doesn't do well with hard biscuits.

We are working on expanding her wardrobe so she will wear any style clothes. (nothing too fancy)

Ruby loves being the center of attention. She has several store bought dressed and some that were specially made just for her that she loves and that I love showing her off in. She is open to trying new looks but she is a pretty laid back type of gal so, nothing too fancy. She's very much mama's girl and is very spoiled. She loves car rides, walks and cuddling up on what ever or whoever is near her for her naps. She is open to trying new things and style of clothing but is very picky when it comes to treats. She and I hope that this will be a great experience for us and hope to join in on many more GE and make new friends while doing so.

Clothing style: Simple - she's a tomboy - but prefer silky type clothes to help minimize the hair matts.

Toys- He loves squeaky toys, with stuffing, without stuffing, he loves them all! He loves loofa dogs, hida toys, everything soft and squeaky...not so much hard toys.
Snacks-we are big treaters as the crew are potty pad trained and are rewarded every time we witness them "go"....he likes Zukes, Bil Jacs, & Yorkie Yummies to name a few. He also loves bully sticks!
Clothes: Mack wears clothes 24/7. He will wear absolutely anything! We keep them in pjs a lot because my dh tends to keep our house really cold! lol. But he is not picky at all!

Mack is the most laid back bundle of joy. We are so excited he is going to be celebrating his 2nd birthday. He is such a little miracle! Mack will be super excited with anything his buddy sends him! He could use some new shampoo and conditioner, but only a suggestion. Please do not send him any blankets or beds as his previous buddys have more than spoiled him and his brothers and sister in that department! He does wear doggles and light clothing at all times when outdoors and loves to be outside when mommy will let him. (his skin and eyes are super sensitive to the sun). We cannot wait for a great time this GE! Just have fun buddy and know we will love you!

Yes! 5/8 or 7/8, any backing. We could also use the tiny scrunchies or little bendy/claw clips. Also still looking for a good storage box for bows.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style -
Toys: Luma is VERY, VERY!! destructive with toys. Nothing with eyes/nose/etc. that can be bitten off, no stuffing. Think fleece rope toys, rough ropes, durable toys and squeaky toys. She absolutely loves to fetch and play tug-of-war. We'd like to try interactive toys too. Luma is home alone for around 5 hrs almost every day so toys are great to keep her busy.
Snacks: ONLY snacks made in the USA. Nothing from China. Healthy brands like Fruitables, Zukes, etc.
Clothes: Anything girly. Animal prints, floral, polka dots, frills, bling, etc. Don't really like stuff with sayings on it though. Casual dresses/ruffle harnesses & tshirts are best.

Pink, purple, red, turquoise, yellow, orange, green lol everything looks good on her. Happy, bright colors for my happy girl.

Luma has sensitive skin due to allergies so please no rawhides/bullysticks. We are currently growing her hair out. It's getting long and we could use a good detangler. She adores grooming, cuddling, car rides and travel in general, the dog park, and fetching. She has recently (finally, yay!!) taken a liking to swimming! Luma and I are both getting more active as part of my new yr. resolution. Handmade or YT vendor items are awesome (but NOT necessary), we love to support YTers!

Mr. McFierce definitely hearts his bows with any type of back. Bows are the jewelry to his ensemble and he loves bling and sparkle. He wears bows daily and is always looking to add something fabulous and interesting to his bow collection. We love Bowbiz bows and bows from Claires and the little Swarovski crystal kiosk at the Galleria.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Strudel adores his toys. However due to his issue with ingesting the materials of plush toys, he can only play with hard/squeak toys. His favourite toys as of date are a fabulous Kong mini car tire and a Martha Stewart chew ring that is a beautiful Tiffany blue colour. He has IBS so his snacks are actually his food. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for Yorkie Foodies, but he can't have anything else in that cute little tummy of his. We are still working on getting him to a point that he can get off his prescription food, I would love to feed him yummier food and give my darling little snacks and treats, but right now that is the only thing he can eat.

His overall fashion aesthetic is Alexander MCQueen meets Karl lagerfield meets English paper boy circa 1800's. Think a yorkie boy version of Janelle Monae. Suspenders, trousers, vintage tees, sweaters and polos oh my. He loves to dress up and serve some fabulous yorkie realness to the rest of the world. He would simply cherish any fashion item from his buddy, he lives for clothing.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Blue, cream, gray, taupe, white, black and Tiffany blue. He also loves prints and stripes.

We use washable pee pads from 107Barney. We use CET Vanilla Mint toothpaste and could use a Madan mustache comb.

This was my first time taking Clyde's measurements and Clyde was terrified of the measure type so some measurements might be a little ... off.

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) - Because Clyde is so afraid of being measured I usually just go by the size "M" ... it usually always works.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - We currently were feeding our dogs Bil-Jac treats, but were trying to find a healthier choice. Clyde will eat almost anything. Clyde LOVES foxes and squeak toys. He likes almost any style of clothing as long as there are no cuss words or inappropriate doggie phrases on the shirt (Pollo Shirts, Jackets, Sweaters, and so on)

Yorkie's favorite colors - BLUE or GREEN is his favorite color, but he looks stylish in just about any color but pink (people already confuse him to much with a girl dog)
