Thinking of joining another GE. Hi everyone. I have only done one GE in the past and havn't been online in quite a while so it was about a year or so ago that I last took park in an exchange. But I really enjoyed the exchange that I did take part in and I had a wonderful buddy. I am thinking of taking part in the next GE, not the one for May as I travelling to Turkey in June so couldn't afford to spoil our buddy as much as we want to this time. But hopefully we can take part in the next GE which is around July/August am I right? I just wanted to check with other members how they feel about possibly having a buddy from the UK. As I know most members here are from the US, would you be dissapointed if you had a buddy from the UK? I know I pay money towards my buddies shipping but I would hate to think my buddy was slightly disspointed to have a buddy so far away as I know it could be more expensive than it would be to have a US buddy. Please let me know your thoughts on this so that I can make my decision, and please don't think I will be offended if you would prefer not to have a UK buddy because I wont be I promise! ;) |
I personally would not mind if I had to pay a little extra for a buddy in England :) |

I have already seen lots of cute things to buy for our buddy if we do choose to take part again. I only wish we could take part in May's GE but I have lots to save for in April and May so I wouldn't have enough money to spend on my buddy as I would like. I think it's best to wait until the next one when I can really spoil them. :D |
It is just the shipping that is more right? I don't think members would mind at all. I think they are aware that some of the buddies might be from other areas. :) So I say go for it and sign up! |

oh... I would love to have a buddy from another country. It would be exciting because I could spoil them with neat "American" stuff that would be special to them and if they had us we would be spoiled with neat stuff from their country. |

Wow that would be cool. I think it is neat how buddies in different parts of the US find things that I have never seen. Another country would be super awesome! Sounds like someone is going to get a special buddy in August. |
Location doesn't matter to me. It would be fun. The shipping doesn't bother me either. |
First order of business, with having a uk SB...include a crumpet with your box so us americans finally know what the heck they are. :) |
I wouldn't mind having a buddy from the UK. I think that would be AWESOME!!! you should def. sign up :) |

If you had us as a buddy, I would love a UK, England flag or whatever (World Geopgraphy is not one of my strong points lol) on a doggy shirt. That'd be so cute! :) |

I sent a tiny, weeny package to the US a couple of months ago, it measured approx. 4" x 4" (yes, inches!!!) and really didn't weigh very much at all (I can't remember exactly) via Royal Mail. Postage on that size was well over £10.... Sally + Harry x |

Do you remember how your ChokeFree was mailed? They couldn't have paid much for it given the reasonable shipping they charged you :scratchhe |

Kaji's doing great. He's nekkid now, no more topknot and beard. :( on the bright side, he'll be 4 this year. I'm trying to learn how to make him a cake for his birthday. |
I didn't even think about the price I would have to pay to ship a package to the UK!!! I would imagine it would have to be a pretty light package, and I feel like I would be incredibly limited on the things I could purchase, and the shipping would be pretty hefty on the senders end! |

My Choke Free - I don't remember - but it took a while to get here....:) Also, with the British Royal Mail - it's not just the weight but the size it measures that counts. My first box was quite big, but hardly weighed any more than the little one (Monster Munch etc etc...!!!) - now that would have been stupid money... None of it matters, so long as you're prepared for it....it's worth getting a couple of quotes first (and not just from Royal Mail!) especially the way postage is rocketing in a week or so :( Sally x |
I would love to join in a ge when my girls are older. |
You were a super Buddy to Maddie and I, You sure did spoil us ;):) |
I say join if you want! :) I wouldn't be upset to have you at all. |
