The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXVI, our twenty sixth Gift Exchange, will take place in November 2011. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE.

PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW if your Secret Buddy lives in Canada or the United Kingdom or overseas:

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

Also, please note to mark your item as a gift, and please do not claim it as more than $50, otherwise your Secret Buddy will have to pay import taxes on it. If you have any questions about this, please contact us. Thank you!

- You have 250 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You joined YorkieTalk before August 1, 2011.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please make sure you have read the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread as well as the Gift Exchange FAQ before you sign up!

Please do not sign up unless you are CURRENTLY a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is $25 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange Rules & Regulations. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange FAQ.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for SIGNUPS. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by September 1, 2011 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end October 31, 2011. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting November 1, 2011. The deadline for sending out gifts will be November 30, 2011.

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) – It varies, but usually I go for a small, XS shirts tend to run short, though measurements are what I have to study before purchasing.

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? Yes we do, we go with the barrettes or alligator clips. 5/8” is the usual size for us.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style – Favorite toy: Ball, ball, ball, ball, lol, tennis balls are his preferred ball, second are the medium softness squeaker balls. Snacks - he loves the beef liver treats from Bill Jacks, but any smelly treat he’ll love. Clothing – we love sweaters and tee’s and we would love to find a jogger that is actually long enough to protect his super long legs from the upcoming cold, but it’s proven to be quite a task, lol.

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) – Rizzo doesn’t get down with the Kong, no matter what it is stuffed with, I’ve attempted fruit treats and he spits it right out (fruit is for wimps apparently) and he doesn’t like those dry crunchy treats like milkbone type treats, otherwise he’s a pretty easy going pup :p

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) - XS or XXS. To give you an idea: I bought this shirt for him in an XS and it fits pretty well (Pittsburgh Steelers Black Property Of Dog T-Shirt) but I got him this jacket in an XXS and the sleeves are a little big (Satin Bomber Dog Jacket - Dark Blue at BaxterBoo) so it varies a little bit depending on the measurements.

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? Daddy says absolutely not!! lol so no, Geno does not wear bows.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Favorite Toy: He loves his X-Small Kong Squeakers. He has the bear and the frog and absolutely LOVES to squeak them for hours. He's basically a big squeaker toy lover. Snacks: He loves his teenie greenies! We haven't given him too many treats cause we don't want to over indulge him since we're still training him. When we do reward him we give him the Wellness Puppy Treats. I did order some treats from Pup Tarts by Mercedes and Me so hoping Geno loves it as much as all the other doggies here do! To be honest, this dog doesn't seem to be too picky lol Clothing Style: Sweaters and Tees...he's not a fan too much of hoodies. He likes to chew on the hood lol Daddy says, anything Pittsburgh sports-related!!! lol I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE bandanas!

Riley does wear a bellyband when I am not watching him so we can always use new ones He does not like the ones with elastic tho. He does good most of the time but once and awhile he makes a mistake and I just put new carpet in. I usually buy the 16inch size. Other then that we would love anything He loves squeaky toys. Gizmo is prone to pancreatitis, so please no chews (unless they're antlers) . If it's a treat it needs to be lower in fat.

Thought I'd edit this really quick, now that I'm looking at Gizmo's clothes. He's an xs if the clothes run a little bigger (i.e. petco xs) but takes a small if the clothes run smaller (i.e. petsmart) Sorry for the confusion!

He goes on lots of walks and gets to come lots of places with me and Loves his Kwigy-Bo Bag. He is out and about quite a bit. * We stay away from rawhides…. And any kind of fatty treats….. but Riley will be thrilled with anything his SB thinks he would like.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style -Bogie is a ball obsessed little boy, and he loves squeaky toys and no stuffing type toys for playing tug of war. Clothing he loves t-shirts and jerseys and his favorite teams are Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and The University of Tennessee Vols. As far as snacks go...Bogie loves just about anything, but we try to stay away from anything with grain and chicken because his sissy Jada has such severe allergies to those ingredients and the love to share treats. :p One of his favorite chews are Texas toothpics.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Toys with squeakers in them are her favorite. But she is scared to death of rubber toys. She likes the smaller toys like the mini bones that Jenny has. And the hide a squirrel toys are her favorite. Snacks that she has been able to eat include the pup tarts and chicken littles from Sugarmamma. With her sensitive tummy issues, I have to be careful what I give her. Would like to give the nylabones a try. Clothing style - GIRLY! :) Love dresses and harness dresses. I really don't do PJ's for Rosie. Tshirts are great too.

Yorkie's favorite colors - I like the brighter colors on Rosie. Pinks, Purples, Reds, Greens, any color is fine!

Rosie has IBS and a very sensitive stomach. Treats are hard for her to handle. She does like the coconut flakes from Ryan plus the others I mentioned. I am no longer giving her any chews due to this reason as well. She is a pampered girl and I like to make her really really girly at all times! The girlier the better for us! :) Pink and more pink is her thing. Other than the tummy issues, she will be thrilled with anything her SB gets her. She is so excited to be in the GE again because we didn't participate in the last one. We can't wait to see the clues this time. The last time our SB stumped us good. We did not even come close to guessing!!

Sugar will only eat Ziwi Peak
as a treat(the food~not treats apparently). We use Yorkie Splash & Shine shampoo and conditioner. Sugar loves Cathy's One Piece Jammies, Nightgowns, and Tshirt dresses. We use Choke~ Free brand harnesses (we have pink and brown crocodile). We live on the beach in Florida so we don't need many more warm clothes (we have several pieces for visiting family). Sugar is a huge fan of VERY SOFT things :) We will love whatever you chose for us! Have fun and know that we are having fun shopping for some lucky :animal-pa:aimeeyork as well......is it you????

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Anniemay loves all her clothes. It gets cold here so right not she is favoring her sweaters as she gets cold real easy. But she loves to play dress up and look pretty any day. She really enjoys her Mini Kong and stuffed animals. She also enjoys chewing on her Nylabones. We really haven't tried many treats with her except at Puppy Kindergarten and I am not sure what they have there.We do stay away from Rahides. But she doesn’t seem to have any food allergies. I can tell you she is quite the chow hound and loves anything with a strong smell. What can I say she is a girl and loves to be pretty! :-}

Maddie has several beds from our past Buddies;) and Yhr;). She loves blankets to snuggle under. She cant have bullysticks, greenies, rawhides, any string toys (she chews them off and chokes on them, same with latex toys and tennis balls). Also Please nothing with corn. Shes a toy terminator:eek: thats why nylabones(durachews) and kong toys are her Favorite cuz they last ;) These are just helpful hints, we will LOVE anything our Buddy sends us, SOOO HAVE FUN- THATS WHAT MATTERS:)!! She loves to wear clothing like cute sweaters but any type clothign is ok. She really could use a new coat for winter, and we've seen so many cute ones at Walmart that are priced inexpensively but anything will do. Fairy Tails Fashion harness type vests (with D rings) look cute on daisy and fit well. The small dresses from YHR boutique also fit her well. We like Hello Kitty, ruffled items, furry type or minky type items, etc.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Daisy looks great in black, red, hot pink, or anything else to compliment her darker coloring (she's black and tan)

Daisy has multiple medical issues and at this point in her life cannot eat any treats at all. Please no beds, but blankets are fine. Just have fun, we aren't picky, just trying to be specific to help our shopping buddy but we will love whatever you do for Daisy.

Levi does not wear bows or a topknot

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing Style: Levi will eat anything and play with anything. :rolleyes: We try to stick with natural treats and durable toys. He loves Nylabones and stuffing-free squeaky toys. We like Batman and LOVE UNC Chapel Hill. Clothing style is simple and boyish – nothing frilly or cutesy, please. We love T-shirts, sweaters, jackets, pajamas, etc.

Yorkie's favorite colors: Green, blue, brown, red, black, orange... patterns like camo or sports themes...we even do some animal prints. Again, anything boyish…people tend to assume he is a girl when we’re out in public and we like to counteract that assumption. :p

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat): Levi is my only "child" and is pretty well-spoiled. He will love anything you send to him. He can be rough on toys, so durable is better. No rawhide or greenies, please. Other than that, he’s not very picky! Just have fun. :D

Her measurements are approximate .... she is not very cooperative with being measured....I do know that she is pretty long :)

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) - She doesn't really wear clothing except her pjs from TBumpkins (107Barney) and could use a pom-pom sweater from Peachbongi ;)

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? We are growing out her top knot so that she can wear bows...not sure what kind....whatever is easiest to get in and keep in

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Trixie does not really wear clothes except to keep her warm i.e. pajamas, coats, sweaters. She loves snacks and will eat most of them except fruitables. She also really likes toys...like the little kong squeakie animals, but does not really like balls.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Any colors really. I happen to like fall colors and pastel colors.

Trixie cannot have bully sticks (they make her poop :eek:) and she isn't found of fruitables. Other than that, she is a pretty easy-going girl. She has lots of blankets and has plenty of shampoos, conditioners and brushes. Have a wonderful time shopping for my little sweetie pie!! Enjoy yourself!!
