Let me add~with kids make sure you do not bring any Sugar Free products into your home. That is where the real danger could be~Xylitol poisoning :( Things like SF gum, pudding, jello all have Xylitol and that is deadly to any size pup. This is something I did not realize either but has me worried they would pick something up outside when taking them off the acreage for a walk. You never know when someone has spit out a piece of gum that they would grab before you even knew it.. I think this should be posted as a weekly reminder as it could very well save a dogs life. I have read many stories on this forum where dogs have been very sick due to this. I mention it to people all the time now. Education can be a great thing. |

Gum of anykind is not allowed in my house. Many years ago I had to cut it out of the carpet and dig it off the bottom of the bathroom trashcan,,,,kids friends. The only sugarfree thing that comes in the house is soda,in a small bottle,with a lid. |
