When to send?
 
Just wondering when most people will send out their boxes? We have set up the teaser gifts already. Just waiting on one more item to arrive to put in the box. Everything else is wrapped and ready to go!

How about you?

Wow - that was super fast! :) We just finalized the list, lined up the vendors and started getting the shopping in motion.

Wow... you are fast. Sending a teaser of course. But my box won't go out until right at the end. Have only bought a few things...and ordered a few things. Need to go shopping, but since I'm going out of town for the next week, I will have to wait until next weekend to do the biggest part of my shopping. I LOVE shopping though, and maybe I will find a few things for Sophie's SB while I am out in L.A. ;)

GEEZ-O-PETES girl....I'm not nearly that ready to go. But, I would like to know when most send too....our 1st time too.

That's what I'm worried about....I don't want the fun to end too soon for our buddy. I've had sooo much fun with this....I've been working on gathering things for weeks and just needed to get a few special gifts this week.


I'll wait until the teaser gifts arrive (if I can!)...but will hopefully ship out at the end of next week. Is that all too early?

Just as long as you send it out before Feb 28...you can ship whenever you want!

I ALWAYS send mine out when I get everything I've ordered...

IF I send out teasers...I don't announce it... Just because I don't want my buddy figuring it out before they get their gift! I'd wait until others start getting teasers...before you send your teaser out...just so you keep your buddy in suspense until they get their gift!:D

We aren't in the GE this time :( but if you have items custom made for your SB it can take a little while to get them. When we participated last time I mailed out our box about a week before the deadline. I had some clothes custom made for our SB so we had to wait on them but was worth it. Finni looked so cute in his holiday jammies!

I agree with the others, you are SUPER FAST. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone shipping their box a week after getting their SB's name.

Hee hee....you say super fast....I say impatient! I truly love gift giving! It is so much fun! My kids have enjoyed helping me get things ready too!

I always enjoy going back and looking at all the neat gifts everyone got in previous GE's. The smileboxes are so fun to watch.

wow you are fast....or anxious....we try to make it personal if we can, either by something being personalized or buying something on our sb wish list. Or sometimes we go with a theme. I have pretty much everything paid for but most is on order so ours wont go out till towards the end. I gotta say though, each person is different, and thats what makes this ge so fun and fun to watch all the boxes come in. I love that part seeing all the pics!

The great thing is I'm actually doing both of those things! :D. Having something made personalized and I got several things from their lists. I am just so excited!

Awww, thanks Linda. I'm sure I'm not done yet though....as long as I have the box here I'll probably want to keep getting things to put in it! I look at the thank you threads from the last exchange and get really motivated. There are some really great buddies out there!

I never ship until the last possible minute. I like to stuff every last purchase into the box. When I think I'm done.....I NEVER am :D

I am having too much fun to want it to end. I have been "researching" my sb... the things you can learn .... hmm..

I am also making something special.. can't wait to see if they like it. It is almost like when my kids were little and I was helping santa :)

Question....a teaser would have to come directly from the vendor, correct? Otherwise the return address would give it away.

Guess my SB will have to wait.......awwwww

Bitsy I am with you on this one. I have my teaser gifts set in place and am waiting on one thing I ordered and then the box is ready to go. I think I am going to send it on the 18th. That is half way almost. ;)

I am just hoping that my buddy does not figure out who I am before she gets the box reveiling my name. :D
