Emmy not allowed to participate :( Admin just said that Emmy cannot participate so she will not be able to join in on the fun even though she has been a member here for years. I am disappointed and sad for Belinda who would have certainly wanted one of her girls in the GE. I wish they would make the exception for this since Belinda passed recently and was a big part of this community. It's not like Emmy is a strange dog entering. Oh, well. I just thought it would be a nice thing to do for her little girl and her new mommy. We hope everyone has fun in the GE. |
It would have been neat for her to be able to be included in thes GE, This is only my second GE, But Im sure Admin has rules to follow or they would have to make exceptions for others to for different reasons, and then it wouldnt be what it is today. I never got a chance to meet Belinda but im sure she is thrilled with your gesture for Emmy. Would you pm me her addy where she lives now, i would like to send her a present from Maddie. |
I didn't know her either but I can tell by the threads posted here that she was one of those rare people you don't come by every day, and I think your gesture to do this for Emmy shows an incredible amount of love, and was worth a try even though it didn't work out. I am sorry. |

What was the reason she couldn't participate?? I've never participated, but I want to at least once. I should look up the rules for it and see what needs to be done. |
looks like you just need to become a donating member of 25.00, and you could have joined this one. just do it before the next one to get in on all the fun.;) and i could be wrong but maybe Emmys new mom isnt a dontating member/ or even a member yet, and would need 250 posts?????????????? even though Belinda was? Just a guess--i could be way off base. |

Thanks everyone. Emmy's human mommy (Belindtch) was a member here for years. She passed on July 1 and new homes were found for her 3 yorkies, Alyssa, Emmy and Lucy. Alyssa is in Texas, Emmy went to FL and Lucy is in CA. Belinda loved the GE's so much and i wanted Emmy to be able to participate. Because her new mommy isn't a member here, Emmy wasn't allowed to participate. I just wanted Emmy to get some spoiling since she had been through so much lately with losing her mommy, daddy, home, sisters and everyone she knew. Fortunately, she is adjusting well in her new home. It's no problem, i am just a little disappointed that an exception wasn't made for Belinda's dog who was very involved here on YT for so many years. I was willing to do my part of the GE and do the box for Emmy and then Emmy would get the surprise but Admin said no. :( |

Her new mommy could join here but wouldn't be able to participate as she can't afford to contribute or send out a box since she is on disability. Thanks for all the PM's offering to send Emmy something. I am not at liberty to give out her new address so that wouldn't work out. I appreciate all the sweet messages offering to help! :hug: |
Aaaah, I'm sorry to hear that!:( Maybe you could entrust "your" address to one of the YT members and if anyone wanted to send a gift for Emmy:aimeeyork they could send it to you and you could forward them on to her? Just a thought...;) |

Thanks everyone for being so sweet to offer to send things. I guess i am just bummed that they wouldn't allow Emmy to participate. I was so excited about Emmy getting a big box of goodies and surprises. I am just not able to give out her new address. Sending everything to me is very sweet and i could get a box together and send to her if you want to contribute to it. I am not soliciting by any means. I didn't tell her i was doing this so she doesn't know anything about Emmy being disqualified. I don't know how Admin would feel about this so guess it is best we just let it go as a learning experience. Thanks everyone for your kindness and offers!!! :hug: |

Thanks everyone! I just sent Admin Emmy's address!! I can't wait to see who her SB is!!! Her mommy doesn't know about this so it will be a total surprise!! If you get Emmy as your SB, please put a note in there for her to contact me so she can send the pictures and i'll post them here!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!! Thank you again Admin!!! Since Emmy's new mom is on disability and cannot afford to buy a gift, maybe we could ALL pitch in some money to give to Emmy's Vet. ? And also send Emmy a few toys and clothes? |
THat is very sweet! I think the GE will be just perfect for her. She is proud and this is a great way to get Emmy things that her new mommy wouldn't be able to afford to get her. :hug: |
