I'm not familiar with YT gift exchange. But it sounds like fun! What do I do to sign up? Can you give me some details about it?:)

The gift exchange is really fun. You get a whole month to sign up and then the signups close. A few days later you get your secret buddy. Then you have a whole month to shop for your buddy. THere is a minimum spending requirement ($25) but there is no maximum. I never shop with a specific dollar amount in mind - I just wait till it "looks good." Many of us make things - sewing items, etc.

Anyway there are some requirements to signing up -
1. you have to be a donating member (meaning you donated $25 to YT -- one time donation)
2. You have to have 250 posts (play the games and you'll earn them in no time!)
3. You have to have been a member for at least 3 months

Hope you can play - we do it 4x a year!! Oh and check out the thank you threads to see the wonderful gifts people get and give!

LOLOL....I don't know that Meagan and I are finished with the last GE:D But, ya...we are most likely in the next one.....maybe it's Reno's turn:)

Sounds like fun! But i have not got enough posts to play...I only have 69 so far:(.Maybe i can play next time. I better get to posting!!

I went shopping yesterday and actually picked up a couple of things thinking they would make great GE gifts. I guess that makes me "in" for this next one, huh? LOL It is a lot of fun!

well you can always donate $50 and both your furbutts can be in the GE...lol...

for every $25 donated - 1 can participate!

we may be in...thinking about signing up Kioko....since Ting Ting was in the last YT GE and Mei Ling is currently in one outside of YT....so I guess it will be Kioko's turn...or i might go crazy and sign up both Kioko and Mei Ling...since it is getting nice outside....hehe

dont think I didnt already consider that.... :p

But then I figured I wouldnt have as much time to focus on making my buddies box because I would have two... so I think I am just going to enter my "big boy" because his little sister seems to get a lot of attention and he is a jealous furbutt!

lol....i know what you mean...i think i have more fun with just 1 at a time...because i can concentrate more on just the 1 instead of worrying about 2....but which ever route you go i am sure you will have fun!

I've done two dogs for the three GEs we've participated in and it's so much fun. I will admit that the night before the box goes out and I'm sewing my last seams or wrapping my last gifts, I always feel stressed out and say I'm only gonna do one dog next time....but then I feel bad because Teddy Bumpkins must be a participant so if I don't do two dogs, then the others will never have a turn. For the record, Teddy always must be "in" not because he is my favorite but rather because he is the baby and a needy immature one at that!! My other kids are far more mature...

Will people send yorkie clothes? Do they ask the size of your dog before sending them? My dog is big, so I wouldn't want to participate and get a bunch of tiny clothes.

Well, your buddy decides what they want to send to you, but clothing is a common gift. (Among other things like dog treats, toys, etc.) You have to fill out a form when you sign up that explains the size of your yorkie and their measurements, that way everything will fit! :)

in the sign up there...it actually ask for measurements so be sure to include it

Ohh, thanks. Winston loves clothes, but common yorkie sizes won't fit him.

Yeah my Jimi is 10 lbs :eek:, but my buddy found a bunch of cute clothes in his size. :D

Meagan....ours is turning into a perpetual GE :D You won't get your box before Easter, but very soon after:p

Hmmm....Marshall....what size is he now? I've got a couple of very cute things Reno grew out of and thought about sending them to Marshall.
