My Mommy Says by Taffy
 

Once again it's time for the continuing saga of My Mommy Says as told by Yorkie Taffy.

The scene is set. The buddy's name is known. Taffy enters from the left zooming lickety split when she hears Mommy tell Daddy that she knows Taffy's buddy now.

Taffy's smart. She knows that there'll be some fine (mighty fine) eavesdropping opportunities in the coming days. Plus, she can put 1 and 1 together (well, sometimes...when it's mini carrots at least) and she knows that if she has a buddy, then someone has her! Woo Hoo! Presents! (She's heard something lately about presents and Christmas but since she's never had a Christmas, she doesn't understand.) GE's and buddies...now that she gets...woo hoo!

From this point on the posts on the thread from this house will be from Taffy. I'm handing down my old computer, you see...primarily to protect the new one!

Oooohhhh! Ooooohhhh!

This is Taffy and Mommy says I can play on this computer as long as I leave her new one unchewed. ARF...my Mommy's funny sometimes. I've discovered better tasting things lately than Mommy's computer keys. Like these blue sandals that I chewed...yummy! I liked them so well that I chewed all the straps off. Still can't understand why Mommy threw all of it away. It had some good chewing still left!

Anyway, I've already got my jammies on and it's getting time for me to snuggle down so I'll leave a quick clue...

Mommy says my new buddy lives in the USA!

Well, it's like this at our house...

Mommy's gone off to take a nap 'cause her stayed up real late last night. She said she was shopping! I heard Mommy tell Daddy that all she has to do now is wait for things to come in.

Oh yeah...and my Mommy says that she bought me some 'prizes, too...woo hoo!

My Mommy says she's "happy" with her shopping and when Mommy's happy with shopping, it means she found everything she was looking for and maybe........maybe even more besides! When Mommy says she's happy with somethin' it means really good stuff like ice cream and party time!

Then you know what my Mommy said later today? She said she had just found the cherry on top! Now I'm just a little baby girl and I have no idea what that means. I just have to cock my head on that one but if it is really a fruit, then I got no idea what Mommy means. She 'fuses me bad sometimes.

You see...my pj's last night had cherries on them and they were on top so maybe Mommy mean jammies. It might mean that my buddy wants jammies! Or it might not. I just don't know what a cherry on top means but Mommy says she got that for our buddy this morning....but she told Daddy she got through shopping late last night. I just don't udderstand. I think it might mean she keepin' a see-crit from Daddy...arf...arf!

Ooooh!!! I fink I iz still in too!! I said I wanted sum jammies. My mommy and I iz cold natured wutever dat means. I jus know dat she fusses at my daddy cuz he is hot natured. Day sumtimez fuss about what the heat should be on. My mommy duz dis at him a lot durin da winter:rolleyes:. We finks daddy is weird, but den again mommy sayz opposites attract! Mommy says that I've gotten everybuddy 'fused again.

I was talkin' about MY jammies...not that Mommy has bought any! You see, Mommy bought those jammies for me before I even left my birth mother and I've lived here with Mommy a long, long time (well, 6 months actually, but when I've chewed paper up all over the place, Mommy says it seems like I've been here a really long time!) Anyway, all these months Mommy had these jammies with cherries and I finally wore them and she was happy.

Mommy says she'd x-plane it like this...

She found the most perfectest thing ever for my buddy and that's why she said it was the cherry on top. She said I 'fused everybody 'cause I told it litter-a-lee. (Can't figure out why a litter is involved but maybe that's another story yet to come.)

Anyway, Mommy says that if I'm going to take the 'spon-si-bill-i-tee of giving the clues, I have to tell it like it is and not 'fuse everybuddy. This giving hints and clues is not easy for a little girl like me.

Sooooo...I asked my Mommy what should I say and here's what she said to me... (Well, first she had to sing some crazy song about whatever will be, will be.)

My Mommy says that I could give a fact that could be tested and proven if I wanted to keep everybuddy from getting the wrong idea. Then I had a great thought...I asked Mommy what she would say if she was talking to you!

You gotta 'member that my Mommy is a 'tired math teacher. She's been 'tired for a few years now but sometimes she still thinks about math.

Here's what she said to me:

"Taffy (that's my name you know), I think you could tell them that the person who signed up your buddy does not have a prime numbered post in the sign-up thread."

Hey Taffy, itz me Shilo. Me is weally confused now, me do not no what prime number is and me asked my daddy but hims said huh been too many years sorry girwl cant help you. I so sad.

I THINK a prime # has only 2 factors- 1 and itself. If so, Bentley is still in with #13!!!! :D

Eek...Mommy says I wasn't supposed to put in that clue so quickly 'cause it would knock some out like a bow-ing ball knocks down pins. Ouch! That sounds painful but I don't keep my bows in long enough for them pins to hurt me...arf, arf!

Mommy says today I should just go for a fun-knee clue 'cause "for goodness sakes, Taffy (that's my name), don't make your thread so
sear-e-us."

How about if I tell you what my bud-ee's name starts with? Okay, but don't tell Mommy I told you. Mommy says it's too early in the day to give another clue but I sneaked on the 'puter when she wasn't looking. (That's how I get to shred my bestest paper prah-ducks, too!)
