YorkieTalk Gift Exchange XIII SIGNUPS!
 

The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XIII, our thirteenth Gift Exchange, will take place in August 2008. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE, though if you want to give your Secret Buddy summer-related items, that is fine.

Please note in order to participate:

- You must be a Donating Member of YorkieTalk.

- You must have 100 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You must have joined YorkieTalk before June 1, 2008.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.


Please make sure you have read the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread as well as the Gift Exchange FAQ before you sign up!

Please do not sign up unless you are currently a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is $20 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread. Please read it again, as there have been some changes to the rules since the last Gift Exchange. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

This thread is ONLY for signups. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by July 1, 2008 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end July 31, 2008. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting August 1, 2008. The deadline for sending out gifts will be August 29, 2008.

Kayla loves everything expept something in her hair. She will fight bows, clips, or anything else in her hair. Likes full harnesses when taking a walk. Kayla is 1 in a pack of 9 and will love being special even if it is just for a little while while she get to be alone to open her present :D

She would love one special dress/vest harness, something with frills/layers, homemade would be extra special if our buddy has the skills!:D

Mika loves to be pampered and we're hoping to keep her hair long!She is not fussy when it comes to food and isn't allergic to anything that we're aware of! Gracie would like a pink metallic collar and leash to match her new harness that we ordered from YT member Wookie (the link to her web site does not work). The color is Hot Pink(MHP). I'm sure if you PM her she can help you out! :D Gracie could also use another washable pee pad made by LittleBit.

She loves plush toys with squeakers. She likes Merrick Bully Stix and Merrick Flossies. For treats - she cannot have any treats with grains in them because she is on a raw diet so no cookie-type treats, no rice, no corn (esp. no corn), no flour. We love the dried liver treats from Designer Dog Clothes and Carriers, Wellness Pure Rewards treats in all flavors, ZiwiPeak freeze-dried treats, and yogurt drops. We also love pure meat jerky treats like dried chicken breast, dried salmon, etc. (Please NO Treats that are products of China)

Her clothing syle is very girly. We LOVE pretty dresses! And pretty bows!

Yorkie's favorite colors - PINK most of all, but we love all other colors too...lavendar, baby blue, turquoise, red, yellow, etc. We just don't really do black because it doesn't show up on her very well.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Dakota love, love, loves her everlasting treat ball (I am having trouble keeping treats in it :) ). Dakota loves to play and likes soft, fuzzy/furry toys, and of course anything that makes noise :), she is not picky in this department and size doesn't matter. Dakota likes wearing clothes, mainly t-shirts (the ones with longer sleeves are her fav.), she doesn't really wear dresses. She could use something for when it gets colder. She likes to be able to move freely in her clothes, don't worry about the clothes being too big, kota likes her shirts a little baggy, she doesn't like to wear things that fit real snug. :rolleyes: Dakota greatly enjoys her snacks/treats and will eat pretty much anything you give her (fav. flavors are peanut butter and chicken), but for mommy's sake, please no greenies. We tried them once a long time ago and she really liked them, but they didn't agree with her. She has had other dental snacks since and nothing else seems to bother her, but I try to give her mostly natural treats. I will say she is a very determined chewer, so non-edible bones aren't such a good idea. :)

She especially loves my neighbors birds who are always sitting in their cage on the front porch, she wants to eat them, lolol, my little hunter, I have been looking everywhere for a wind up mouse she could chase around the house but have had no luck, even went to Spencers (a store where you can buy things to do practical jokes, or just buy weird stuff). Sabrina also loves the neighbors rose bushes I watch her closely to make sure she isn't going to try to eat them and she doesn't she just stares at them and smells them so I'm guessing she likes the look and smell of flowers, she is such a little princess

The only thing Slade is NOT allowed to have are greenies.

Slade will absolutely LOVE anything he gets, but if his buddy needs some shopping ideas, here are some things he could use-
anything to chew on (bully stix, dingo bones, etc)
SMALL squeaky toys
Boyish bows
PJs or anything for cooler weather since we will hopefully be moving somewhere a bit cooler within the next year or any cutsie Tshirt
any type of yummy treat
shampoo or any type of grooming supply
Perhaps a blanket (we have plenty, but we always like new cute ones)
Some type of overnight tote bag for all his stuff when we go places

We're good on- leashes (we have amassed quite a collection and rarely go on walks), toy boxes (he has a fabulous wooden one from the last GE), collars, and tennis balls.


Slade will just love anything he is sent, so please enjoy shopping for him. I'm not at all picky on things he can and can't have- the list is just a suggestion for things if our buddy needs ideas, but he will just love whatever our buddy chooses to send! :D

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Toys~soft with squeakys, or anything really hard rubbery.
Snacks~Yorkie Yummies, Diggy Kisses, Toy Temptations from westbrook Dog, Yogurt drops.
Clothing Style~ girly girl dresses, nice jammies, LOVES the silky gown type ;) and Definately a BOW girly!!

I know she has been needing a new collar for her tags because her Mommy had hers laying across the top of a candle warmer to dry one day and then turned the warmer on and an hour later bumped the collar into all the hot wax :eek: so now it's all waxy and stiff, lol!:rolleyes: Ya I know, good going Mom, lol!:rolleyes::D
