ahh I gotta get my post count up! I'm on the board everyday reading but hardly ever post ha.. I'm for sure doing this GE it sounds like soo much fun! I love buying presents for other people/furbabies :)

ME TOO!!! I am sending in my donation today! I am excited about this. I own a grooming salon and sell a few high end products. I already have my list together of what I want to send!!:)

Here's what I do. I limit myself to two GE's a year, and I pick one during the summer when I am on summer break. During the year I stock up on goodies I've found on sale various places, or bought one of for Gizmo and grabbed an extra one at the same time. I make 70% of the gifts myself, and then order one item made just for my buddy that is personalized or something for him/her.

So, it looks like I spent a whole lot of money, but I didn't. ;):thumbup: I still tend to go a little "GE crazy", but this way it's possible for me to participate.;) Even on a budget. :thumbup:

That's a marvelous idea! Between grooming, vet visits, food and all the beautiful clothese my girls just have to have ;) I was thinking I couldn't afford to do a GE and keep up with the amount that everyone gives!

I'm gonna start stocking up right now!
I guess I better become a donating member first, huh?

I was just sick :(to death seeing that not everybody that sent a GE didn't receive one back. And that is the whole purpose of the GE.
So Please if you sign up let make sure that your buddy and you get a package in return.

Sorry but that really bothered me on this last GE :cry::shocked7q

I'm not a donating member yet and with Charlie needing surgery I didn't think I was going to be able to donate or participate in this GE, but an angel has agreed to take care of my baby for me without charging me an arm an a leg so now I can donate to yorkietalk and definitely join in on this GE. I'm excited to be able to shop for someone and surprise someone else's little baby, I love shopping for mine so I know this is going to be extra fun. Knowing me though I probably will go a little over board so I think I will start making some custom made handcrafted with love doggy clothes (crochet) to go with whatever I buy so I won't go over board, :D.

I just can't decide which girl to put in this time! ;) All of my girls have been in at least one GE so guess i'll just start over.

Do you have to be a donating member to join in with the GE? and also being in the uk and most of you guys are in the states or various other places do we get longer for shipping? especially with the way the post has been in the uk lately

Yes you have to be a donating member. And also have at least 100 post. The gifts just have to be shipped by a certain date.

Welcome to YT from across the pond!!
You have to have 100 posts minimum and be a donating member to participate. We have lots that participate from all over the world. It think they have to send in an extra $20 for post to ADMIN who will in turn send that to their GE buddy.

Im so glad that got cleared up. I wouldnt want the first timers to feel hesitant about doing such a fun thing.....its so fun for the furkids and for us because of all the hints threads and guessing and waiting and then one day a package arrives and its better than christmas......

I'm definately signing up!!!! I t will be Abbey and my first GE EVER!!!!! I'm so excited I already have ideas for excellent gifts. In fact, I'm heading to donate some more to YT so I can join the GE!!
