Is it contaminated unsafe products or child or labor abuse?? Some one fill me in. Also am open to any great toy tips if China is an issue! Thanks |
I found some but they were about double the cost of toys made in China. |
I posted a thread about that. I will bump it up. I don't mind toys mind PLUSH toys made in china, but no latex or rubber. |
Heres my thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1480102#post1480102 I bumped it up also. :p |

Great! thanks for the clarification. I guess I will do a search once i get my buddy to see what their likes/dislikes are!:D |
I don't have a problem with the toys made in China as long as they are plush. I'm still worried about he lead paint in latex ones (even though those are Slades favorites). Even with the american sellers, most of the materials are made in china. |
I have no problem with plush toys from china, and the hard ones are also fine as long as they don't have paint on them. |
I could not find any toys at our PetSmart or Petco that was not made in China and who is to say if made in USA that the material is not made in China. I am fine with plush toys from China, but I do not want any laytex toys. Keeping my furbabies away from the latex. |
I knew that there would be the problem of finding things NOT made in China! There are lots of YTer's that are now making toys and I think that most of the plush toys are fine from anywhere (they can be washed by the dogs owner before playing with). I think the big concern was the latex/hard/vinyl toys that are painted, as the paints contained high levels of lead. Don't stress....have fun shopping for your GE Buddy! Just keep the tags on everything and if your GE Buddy needs to, they can return what they prefer not to have. |
:yay_jump: :yay_jump: whewwww ok let the shopping begin!:yay_jump: :yay_jump: |

Exactly...so many things that are even printed made in the USA are either just assembled here, but made elsewhere OR made here with products made in China...it is crazy!!! Not just toys, but anything and everything from car parts to clothing...... |
I don't mind the plush ones either. |

I think all Lacy's toys were made in China so I have absolutely no problem with toys from there. I don't really want latex toys (not because they are from china but just because we don't really use those)...we prefer plush toys. I also like those "life stages" toys from petsmart...but cant ever find the tiny sized ones |
We dont mind toys from China. His absolute fave is plush tho.... |
Gizmo may have plush toys from China, but no laytex or rubber ones unless they have been tested for lead. What's sad is that he LOVES things that squeak. We have ordered from Barkaholics because Erin has some of her toys tested. She has a note on the item if it's been tested. Amber_lv's toys are great! |
I make fleece toys. Ever since the whole china lead scare, I only give Mr. Biggs fleece or organic toys. You can find the thread here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=100582 I have a GE sale going on til Saturday :) |
I don't mind plush toys from China. Just no rubber or plastic, or stuff that can eat. |
The plush is fine! |
The plush ones are fine with me!!!:D |
