GE Helpful Info

I have never done a GE before this is my first, but from the way the pictures look I would say 30-50$ is about the price range, but you are only required $20.

good thread! I was concern about this, and thinking what the heck I'm gonna buy!!!!! I personally don't mind any china stuff except for painted rubber and treats. It is hard to shop avoiding all china, so hopefully our buddy will accept stuffed toys and clothes. I'm sure nobody here is going to buy painted rubber and treats from china anyway!

I'm so excited for the next GE!

I'm with the majority of you on this one:

No treats or rubber/latex/plastic toys from China. Plush toys and clothing are fine-as long as they are machine washable

As always, no rawhide, greenies, bully sticks, or anything else "chewy", as Emma and Milli turn into very mean girls when they get posessive over these items. They love all-natural treats, as long as they are small (or can be broken into small pieces), and are made in the US.

We wouldn't want latex toys from China, not only because of the recall, but because my kids only play with the plush stuffed ones. Also, wouldn't want treats from China either. Everything else is just fine. We'll probably get to put all this information on our signup sheets.

1. I don't care if the plushy stuffed toys are from China.

2. Some clothing he might be a Medium or Large, but please go by measurements. Chip's wardrobe so far only consists of his winter coat that you see in the last pic, which was made by my sister. He loves fleecy things, but doesn't wear clothing(t-shirts, pants, etc.) otherwise.

3. I realized saying "earthy colors" is very limiting for my SB, as if it wasn't limited enough What I really meant to say is anything but pastely ones.

To my SB, I really hope this helps otherwise I'm really sorry if I made it more difficult for you.

This will be my first GE. I will be knew at this. So if anybody has any pointers that they can give me. So how soon do we find out we have, so we can start shopping? I am sorry for the dumb questions but I just want to do this right.

Also to answer your question about the when and when - -The signup period will end October 31, 2007. You will receive your Secret Buddy information shortly after that. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

we love everything! Im not picky about stuff from china! i think of it this way if u would buy it for ur baby im sure i would love it! althought i would love for my ge to pick out some yummy HEALTHY treats for lola .. as far as clothes from china it doesnt matter!! we just love clothes ahhh im so excited about our first ge!! iw anna know who i have so i can start my shopping!!

I'm pretty much on the same page as everyone else on this one. I don't mind plush toys from China, just no harmful toys. And machine washable toys would be best! All-natural treats only (anything healthy), so no greenies or rawhide.

I'm not too picky about Slade. Just no latex or plastic toys from china that might have lead paint. ANd we like our treats made in the USA if possible!

No food products please. Clothes and plush toys from China are fine. Also no latex toys from China. We don't let our babies play with those anyway.
