| 2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | OMG went downstairs to put some of my material in the wash and found both sinks backed up and full of water. Thank goodness there were two sinks or I would of had one hell of a mess on m hands. I just spent the last hour trying to unplug the sinks and the drain with no luck. Can you imagine what might happen to the org cast iron pipes from a home build in 1962. I was fed up and was going to call a plumber when I gave it one last try and than the whole freaking pipe busted off and fell to the ground. Holy crap what Now, water is going everywhere but into the stupid floor drain. Well thank goodness I was quick thinking and grabbed a shallow pan, an old unused litter box of all things. Once it filled up I emptied it in the floor drain again and again until the water was done. And than did it again because there was still water sitting in the washer. Ugh !! Never a dull moment. So sewing is on hold while I'm off to Menards to find something for a quick fix until we can find a plumber to do the work.

We replace so much of the plumbing in older houses with cast iron, its pathetic! If we were closer, I would offer our plumbing services.

| 2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | That would be great. I don't see this as being an easy job to do so I am hoping that we can find a plumber through family and friend connections to get it done cheaper. My pops usually helps us out with these sorts of things but I think he's reached his working on plumbing days a long time ago, He's 83 now.
