Some of the sweaters I have created 3 Attachment(s) So I was advised to show off some of my sweaters in this forum. Here goes. I am getting better and better at them as I go...I'll need to get myself a manequin though as Wallee is getting really tired of trying on the girly dresses...and...he's quite a big bigger than most that I am knitting for. |
 the hot pink sweater! Do you use a pattern and are they knitted or crocheted? I might try and see if my mom could knit one for Teeka!:) |
the hot pink one is crocheted. I did use a pattern for it, however wasn't real happy with how it turned out..lol..I guess now that I have made so many I could tackle it again. |
I love the bobble stitch work. I remember seeing a dog pattern for the last picture but I'm not that good yet lol. Didn't know you knit too! How long did it take you? Do you crochet too? Great job. |
I do both..I can knit and crochet..I have lots more sweaters on my page in an album. |
How cute, Wallee is such a good model! Beautiful sweaters, you're very talented! |
You did a great job on all of them! They are just beautiful! I wish I could do more than a straight line - I knitted a scarf and am in the process of crocheting a scarf - notice singular on both... |
Since Wallee is a boy, who do you make all the cute girly things for? |
Hehehe..I haven't had many requests for boys sweaters..and I love making all the little dresses. I did make him the Valentine sweater and I made a red hoodie and a turquois one I am donating for the raffle..plus..I made one for someone's SB who hasn't yet received it. ;) |
I am definitely going to look for some patterns. My mom would love to make Teeka a dress or two! Now, I am on a mission to find what I need before winter is over! Keep up the wonderful work, as I enjoy seeing all the adorable outfits! |
Thank you..there are plenty of patterns out there for anyone who is talented in either knitting or crocheting. I have also paid for a couple of them, and don't have them all posted as a few things are for my SB. |

You did a wonderful job. That is one skill I do not have lol |
They are all beautiful. I wish I had the patients to knit. Keep up the good work and we love seeing all the pics. |
Absolutely beautiful work!! I had an aunt that could sew, crochet, and knit...she did it all and she was absolutely magical with it...she could be walking down the street and see a dress she liked and she would go home and make the dress!!! I remember she crocheted a dress, a short little jacket, pill box hat, and she covered a purse, all out of a narrow tourquoise satin ribbon....it was amazing! When she would come for a visit, I would sit at her feet and watch her knit....her fingers just FLEW!!! She was sooooo fast! I was 5 years old then.....I would even collect a quarter from the neighborhood kids so they could sit and watch her knit so fast! Of course, momma didnt know I was selling tickets to see the fastest knitter in the world.....!! We laughed about that so many times, years later....and now she is gone.....she taught me to do a chain stitch.....I still have a ball of yarn of chain stitch that has to be as large around as a grapefruit, so I have no idea how many miles long that it is.....and she left me her little portable Singer sewing machine, circa 1938-40.....and I can not sew a stitch!!! |

As for sewing, I started sewing when I was expecting my first child. I took on a big job and sewed a teared bassinet cover. My husband then bought me a machine of my own and while my kids were young I sewed clothing for them, custom drapery and knitted sweaters for friends and family. I recently started doing a little sewing here and there again, as I lost my passion for all when my son died. I have sewn our Halloween costumes for the past 3 years and we have won first place at the parties we have gone to every time..hehehe..now that I am between jobs I have started the knitting to keep my mind from wandering..lol..that is..whenever this little hyper settles down and lets me do some work.. |
Love them all! You do beautiful work! In the future, I'd love some little crocheted booties and hat. :) |
