Well I prayed about this last night and I completely understand the new rules. I can see both viewpoints and certainly don't want to rub anyone the wrong way. I will still post my 2 favorite creations if the week each week and that will be enough for me. I just love the fashion forum and I hope it will stay hopping. Looking at the creations others post is very inspiring to me as well. After talking it over with Him and myself, I came to the conclusion last night not to let it upset me or start a fuss. I am not offended in any way by any of you guys. I understand the concern and don't want to push the boundaries. I just love YT and I hope we can all continue to have just as much fun! Happy Sewing y'all! See ya on the forum! ;) |

I'm hearing a rather consistent theme that 2 finished items may not be the correct number. I'm not saying let's change it right away, but, what do people think is a happy medium (and fair) in terms of amount per the 1 thread per week? No one has a goal of taking anything away from anyone. The last thing we'd ever want to aim for is making people unhappy. The goal is to find a happy medium - and to do that, we have to tweak this section. Nothing we do will satisfy everyone, that's an impossible goal. So please, be assured that we're trying to find a middle ground here...a middle ground where those who have concerns are balanced with those who have no concerns whatsoever. A fair middle ground is the goal. |

In all of my ranting I forgot to mention that I know your job is hard as a moderator and I think you do a great job. I will let the experts chime in in the amount of items to post per week but I appreciate the forums willingness to be flexible:) |

I was not one of the complainers, but I truly can see their point. Aymee, you are a very sweet and special lady and I'm glad you have found peace about all of this. Honestly, my feeling on this has nothing to do with you. Ann, you do a wonderful job trying to keep everyone happy, my hat is off to ya, Lady! |

:thumbup: I was about to post a reply to your question, Ann. Then I read this post. It basically is word for word what I was about to type. lol |
OMG! This is like jealous girls in high school! If you aren't interested don't click on it or read it or buy it. I couldn't follow all the "rules" being laid down if I tried (two per week versus ten per week versus how many in each post ) Geez... Just sounds like a bunch of crab apples who can't create as well so they want to pitch a ....... |

Plus, there are only two rules for this section...not hard to remember and follow. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-...ion-forum.html |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ease-read.html I don't see much of Aymee posting in that forum....yet she is selling items to YTers. Someone already posted that IF Aymee cannot post all she has been in THIS forum, then she is not going to read this forum BUT will continue to purchase items from her. Speaks volumes...people are purchasing from Aymee based upon her posts in this forum. While she is not posting those exact items on her Esty shop, she IS selling them as special orders. I don't care personally because I am not in competition with anyone...I just think the lines have been very blurred here. While maybe not intentional, this is circumventing the rules all sellers abide by on YT. I have always been a bit afraid to post what I sew on this forum because I did not want it viewed in a way that I was attempting to advertise. This way, if there are rules, perhaps all people who sew on YT will feel a bit more inclined to post their items and share their ideas. I think that the admin and mods are simply trying to make rules for this forum that will work. It's a relatively new forum and this is how things work ... have to work the kinks out sometimes and I don't think that anyone is trying to be mean to anyone...or immature and high schooly as some have suggested. |

As for the number, I think the idea of 4 is great since that is the # of photos were allowed in one post but if 2 is decided, that's ok too. |

I hope you change your mind about not posting anything. Variety is always a good thing! |

I am not a very creative person when it comes to sewing dog clothing. I have one pattern that I use and that is it...some variations but not much. Most of what I sew is for YHR and the dresses sell like crazy at the dog show in Houston each July. I rarely post the YHR dresses on the Sale forum because they just dont seem to attract that much attention. My point was the because the rules from that section were so ingrained in my brain, I felt a bit awkward posting them here. With the new rules in place, I will not feel that way ... I know that if I post them, no one is going to be jumping up and down wanting to buy them. hahah....But..as I said, I felt awkward about it and won't now. I also hesitated because I hate when people say something is wonderful when it is ugly....I would rather they ignore what I post. :D When I posted one dress I actually said that...please don't say you love it if you don't. |
Í know there is a picture forum, but I think this forum should have more pics of dogs in clothing whether it is purchased from a YTer or elsewhere. For instance, I bought PJs not long ago with a tutu skirt...they are darling. I really need to snap a pic of them so that you all can see....might inspire someone to make them. |
I really don't think I'm missing the "point" here, because there are several "points" of view here not just one. Aymee seems like a delightful person who is very creative and her intent from what I've read and seen didn't seem to be selling and she seems very gracious about accepting all the "complaints" from people who see it that way (that speaks volumes in my opinion). I still think it sounds petty. Again, if people don't want to look at it, buy it or agree with it, don't read it. Pass it over. I enjoy seeing everyone's creative side, the fact that they my sell a few of those items doesn't bother me a bit. I think people should ask themselves why it bothers them if someone is not being offensive, which Aymee was definitely not, why they would mind. |

Again, if they don't care, aren't interested and aren't selling, then pass it over. It's really not that difficult  I suppose we will have to agree to disagree on this one, and that's okay. What's not okay is we will see less of a very talented individuals creations and that's a loss for everyone :( |
Quote:
As for your last line, I don't think anyone will see less of her creations. She can still post them and she clearly has given people options for viewing on other sites. I don't think the intent was to stop her from posting. At least I don't see it that way. |

I would also like to add that you have a very very cute puppy dawg! Simply adorable :animal-pa |

The reason I have not posted them is because I do my best to follow forum rules. I DO feel people have circumvented them here and I don't care if you like my thoughts on that or not. I did not say they did it intentionally but one would have to wonder given the strong comments since the rule change. As for your last remark, I don't consider it much of a compliment...merely a way for you to try to cover up your obvious ill intent. |
Geez you cant even agree to disagree :-\ what I meant by that was we could at least agree you have an adorable furball, no debating that! |

I need to apologize to everyone who read my posts here and especially to ladyjane. I looked back over my posts and realized that I was, in fact, doing just what I was upset with everyone doing to Aymee. I was trying to push my opinion on everyone else when all I really had to do was give the moderator my vote on what I thought was fair, write Aymee privately and give her my support and then pass up reading all the negative comments. I guess we all come here for different reasons and no one's is right or better than anyone elses. I just enjoy getting the advice I so need with my puppy (since I am a new puppy owner) and sharing the fun and loving stuff about owning a puppy with other people who understand. I guess I will be taking my own advice now, ladyjane, and ask myself why I felt the need to point my "point" out to you. LOL ;) I truly do apologize, hope you forgive me and won't let it happen again. I would take it all back (except for the part about your adorable pup :)) |

Yes, YT is a valuable resource and part of the reason that it works is because of rules. There are lots of rules that I don't agree with, but that's always the way things are. I don't like speed limits either, but I try to abide by them because it allows me to continue driving. Same thing here on YT...if I follow the rules, I will be allowed to stay. |

Ann I have a question for you. What about 2 forums? I know this has been mentioned before, but that may be the solution to the "problem." A YT Craft Corner perhaps? people can share how to, share ideas, or what not about their daily, weekly, or monthly projects. And the fashion forum can be our red carpet of sorts. Pictures of yorkie a donning their new outfits whether made by heir mommy's, another YT member, or store bought. Just a thought! I know this would make one of my threads in the wrong forum. :) |
