Introducing 'The Little Luma' Combo...
 

Tee hee! I am ready to add a new item to my Etsy shop! I wanted to show you guys what I have been working on secretly for a bit now.

This will be a little combo: a handmade carrier and coordinating pantsuit (or dress) in the colors/patterns of choice. I made this little combo set for Carmen and her sweet baby girl, Luma. So in honor of them, I wanted to give it a special name in my shop...."The Little Luma"

Carmen asked me to make the carrier and we worked together to choose the fabric she liked best. I then added the trims and coordinating lining fabric. Then I had to surprise her! I wanted to do something special for her and Luma since they were so nice to let me make this for them. With the leftover fabric, I made Luma a matching pantsuit! Now Luma can go out and about in stye all coordinated! I just adore coordinated stuff and I sure hope Carmen and Luma will love this!

I sure had a lot of fun making this one! This is like the carrier I made for myself a while back, but there are a few changes. I used top of the line interfacing that is super stiff so the bag can stand up on it's own and hold it's own shape. The bag has a removeable bottom for washing. I added lots of cute embellishment and trims. The bag does have a safety strap with a clip so Luma can be snapped in safely. The carrier has a scoop on one side so that she may poke her head out comfortably while Carmen carries her. I just adore this fabric Carmen picked out! I think I like Luma's carrier better than Katie Scarlett's! Tee hee! Carmen may have trouble getting me to mail it out....just kidding! ;)

I swear I haven't been stalking the Fashion forum waiting for these pics..I prooomise! :rolleyes: But OMGG!!! :eek::eek::eek: I. LOVEEEE. IT!!!!! It's SO BEAUTIFUL! I knew it would be, but oh my gosh, I LOVE the trim, I love the pattern, it's so beautiful!! Aymee, you are the best.

And omg, the matching pantsuit!! Luma is so gonna rock it with her matching bag!! I can't believe how cute it is :love: And you're gonna name it in your etsy shop after her? Luma says "dos dat meen I is famish?" She's certainly gonna look like a little celebrity in this. Holy moly, I am in LOVE! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! It was such a pleasure collaborating with you on the colors, fabric, etc.

Oh yes, a bow to match is a must!!! And I agree with you...I was thinking monogramming might be too much, but I wanted to ask you first. The pattern on the fabric is just so beautiful, it stands on it's own. I love this fabric!

wow Aymee you outdid yourself, the carrier is beautiful, love the lining and you even put trim on that, as love the pin on the buckle. That's pants suit is soooooo cute, can't wait to see picture of Luma in the outfit and the carrier. LOL now Carmen will be stalking the postal carrier.

Lol! I can't wait to see Luma in her new goodies too. She is such a cutie. Katie Scarlett says if we ever makes it to Texas she wants to try and meet Luma for a play date. :)

My hubby is over protective and I was giggling because she was walking all funny and stiff...he whined and told me to take it off her.(says I was being mean):rolleyes: I'm thinking she has got daddy wrapped around her paw.

LOL! I am sorry the hubby wasn't crazy about the pants. I know Katie Scarlett is used to them, but it still looks like that. I use starch and the fabric is stiff....so even though they are bending their legs, it might not be as noticeable. I hope you guys will like the pantsuit and it will grow on the hubby. LOL.
