Just curious what does everyone use for their bows, bands clips or barrettes?
I have realized that i am terrible putting bands in:eek: they never seem to lay right always tilted. now I'm trying alligator clips

I like the clip a lot better than the band.

I always used bands, but after recently using the alligator clips I am definitely stuck on those!

For everyday use, I have tiny hair clips, the kind that are like claws. For the very rare occasion Kaji wears a bow, I put his topknot up up with a hair band (the kind that doesn't pull) and the bow itself is on an alligator clip. It helps keep it in longer.

That's what I'm trying now the band and the clip. So much easier:)

I use a band for the topknot and alligator clips for the bows. I never did get the hang of putting a bow in with bands.

I started with the alligator then switched to bands now I am back to the clips.:)

Me neither, I am going to cut the bands of my bows and glue the clips to them

I have a question for you ladies...if you use alligator clips then you don't put in a band? I don't know if it would stay in my girls hair they have very, very thin hair. :rolleyes:

I put a band in first then the clip. Bri's hair would never stay in the clip by it's self

Cindy I use a band to hold the hair up and then put the bow with an alligator clip. Jada's hair is to thick for the alligator clip alone to hold it and Bogie's is even thicker than Jada's.

The topknot is held up with a band, and the bow itself is on a clip. If I may speak for the others, when I try a bow that is on a band, it always comes out sideways, and Kaji pulls it out immediately. The way I do it (band separate from bow) seems to last a long time.

That's what I was thinking...I can't get a bow in either with bands on it. It's always sideways or crazy looking :rolleyes:

Thanks Michelle...I use the bands that aren't suppose to break the hair BUT seems like the hairs always breaks off a little sometimes :eek:

I know what you mean sideways and if the bow has a design that should be right side up, never fails it's always upside down.lol

Alligator clips for sure. I can't do the bands at all. And my girls have too thin hair to keep the barrettes in.

The owner of this doggie boutique I go to takes the barrette and slides the clip through the front of the hair right below the band. so the barrette doesn't slip out. Bri's hair is too thin for that.

I can't put a band bow in at all...it's even came out point to the back of her head. :D
Our bows all have french barretts and they are very good. I'm waiting on bows to arrive and this time we are trying alligator clips.
I'm hoping, they work great for us too. If not, I have lots of french barretts to change them out ;)
I'll let you know how they work for us after we give them a try.

here is something else I have a hard time with, (tena I know you mentioned this to me) the flop forward or the waterfall look. In these pics it was perfect then an hour later look what happened.:confused:

Kaji always has a palm tree going on. It's just the length right? If it was longer, then it wouldn't be a little palm tree on top.

When you put the topknot up do it in two sections. I pull the hair up and take my rattail comb and part the topknot (side to side) take the back portion and put it in a band then take the front portion and band both sections together...no more waterfall. I can't take credit for this, I read it on YT somewhere:p

OMgosh, now we are excited! Oh...I'm going to have to let Susan know...we need that perfect matching bow.
