Normally my babies would be in the nursery, but they aren't yet. I've had a very....well, AWFUL Summer (almost died in addtion to a severe injury to my knee that required 2 surgeries). Anyway....my MIL ended up whelping my pups and keeping them for almost the first month of their little lives. I've had them a week now and will get pictures on this week. It is WONDERFUL having them home and getting to know them!!!!! |

I'll give you a very helpful tip.....trim the hair off their ears at about 5 weeks old....you will be SHOCKED how much comes off and it helps the ears to stand tremendously. I've not had a pup with down ears at 8 weeks old. You'll also notice that their little nails will need trimmed before then. You are going to absolutely LOVE this entire experience from here on out!:D PS Thank you for the well wishes on the knee....what an ongoing nightmare! |
Thank you so much for that tip. I recieved my Tinkerbell and her ears were down and I had to tape them for a day. They just stood up after that. I will make sure to do that. I can't wait to see pictures of your wonderful puppies. |
Congrats and thanks for sharing all the great pics! So adorable! :teddy: |
what beautiful bundles of Joy! "Congratulations to you & Tinkerbell! :] |
Update!!! Here is the update. We still have all four puppies. We have: Pebbles (Big female) BamBam (Big Male) Delilah (Little female) Yoda (Very Tiny Male) The bigger ones are doing great and this morning Pebbles opened here eyes up. I am so excited. The others I am sure are not far behind. Yoda is not doing so great. I had to take him into the vet on Friday because he was so small and not gaining any weight. They have kept him thoughout this weekend and are going to keep him until they think he is ready to come home. They think that he might have something neological going on because he gets these little tremors sometimes. It might just be something that he will out grow because he is so small. It is very hard to tell at such a young age and size. But he is almost 4 oz!!! That is some really good news. He does have his big brother with him to keep warm and for the company. Other then that everything has been great. They sure do get around without even their eyes opened yet. I can't wait for them to get bigger. I will update the pictures in a little bit after I get some more homework done. They are just too good of a distraction right now. |
