SUPER CUTE!!!!:animal36 |
I've decided to call her Button (Cute as a Button) Anyway, Button has a vet appointment Monday afternoon to make sure she is okay. Her Biewer brother has been named Chance (Chance of a Lifetime). I guess I still need 3 more C names. Others I have thought of CEO, C Ya. Ideas? (I guess I will try to get a response this way, since no one had any suggestions for little Button. LOL) |
Challenge Cathartic Charming Charisma (Can't use Connor or Cruiser) |
what beautiful babies you have....Button fits very well.....how about Chantilly Lace....you can call her Tilly or Lacy.....Chicklet (was one name I had considered for Brandi)Cherish......Chandler....Cassidy.....too bad the Biewer is a boy or you could have named him Cookie (like in black and white) LOL....Cupcake....or Cricket......I'm terrible with names....but I thought I'd put my two cents in LOL.....good luck naming them |
Thanks for the names!! They are so cute!! I took Button in today to the vet. Other than being a bit dehydrated, he could find nothing wrong. He thinks mother has written her off since she is so much smaller than the others. They are so active that they run out to mom and nurse without her even lying down. It looks like Iwill be her new full time mommy. (I was doing 2 times a day before) He suggested every 2.5 hours to give her 3 ml of formula. Of course I have to be on potty patrol too. Hopefully she will gain and then be able to function more like her age (4 weeks tomorrow) |
UPDATE Little Button died Friday morning. I took her into the vet again as she was dehydrated again and not looking or sounding well. The vet said it did not look good either, but kept her to give her fluids. I called at 9:30 (1 1/2 hours later) and she was gone. The vet it going to do an autopsy to see if he can see a reason that she did not grow and thrive like the rest of her siblings. It is hard to lose a puppy and especially one that was constantly with me for a few days while feeding around the clock. I thought on Thursday she was much much better as she was more alert, trying to walk around, and did not sleep all of the time. |
So sorry about Button, it must be terrible losing one:( |
i'm so sorry you lost button :( |
awwwwwwwww how sad I'm so sorry |
Thank you for your concern. :aimeeyork |
Oh Kathy, I just saw this thread and read it to the end to hear about Button. I'm so sorry, it must be doubly hard after you spend so much one on one time with her. Those bonds go very deep very quickly. I'll be thinking of you -Diana:animal-pa |
Kathy so sorry about button :( It is really hard to loose a sweet one like that. |
Good news out of this is that it was not liver shunt or hydrocephalis. We had the vet do a post on her. We wanted to make sure that these hereditary problems were the cause. I should have known that the odds were against this little girl. She had gained only an ounce since she had been born. I just could not give her every chance to survive. I don't know how people can raise the tiny tiny puppies all of the time. Give me the regular size pups anyday! (please note to all ready to jump on me for having a puppy this size. . . . Mom is 6-7 pounds and dad is 5 pounds. I am not trying to breed for the little ones. I want yorkies/ Biewers of standard size and exceptional quality. This is the reason I had the vet check Button out. If it would have been inheritated, her mother would probably not have ever been breed again.) There are also 4 other puppies from this litter that turned 5 weeks today. They are happy, healthy, fat, playful pups!! I hope to get new pictures taken soon. School will be out soon and I should have more time. |
Kathy no one better jump on you...but I just wanted to say I am so sorry about your little baby buttons...I know that had to be hard for you...and I am also so happy the others are doing so well...sooooo since they are 5 weeks can we get updated pics:D please...they are gorgeous....:D |
