Pam, All the best for your little one..these are going to be a few tough days ahead, hopefully mom will feel better and want to care for her beautiuful new son so you can just watch and enjoy them both.

IMO nothing warrants them to be priced this high!

I think $3,500 for a dog is reasonable, ONLY IF:

-The mother AND father are titled
-BOTH parents have health certificates (OFA/CERF and so on)

One of the breeds I show are Black Russian Terriers and they are sold for that much, and yes there's a market, HOWEVER, they need to have what I stated above, otherwise I think buyers are fools for paying that much.
There's no real reason for it, imo. If the pups are worth that much you should prove it on both sides of your breeding stock, starting w/ the sire and dam.

I'm NOT attacking anyone here, seriously. I don't know what this breeder does/doesn't do w/ her dogs, I was just addressing YorkiRini's opinion.

I just had to come back and see the little ones again! I can't believe how much they've grown!! I love them all but my favorite is girl #3 ... I like the fact that she has a lot of white on her!! They're all stunning and simply adorable!! If I didn't already have 3 babies, I would definitely be PMing you about girl #3 ... I'm just in love with her!!

But I'm positive you will have NO trouble selling them ... they're soo sweet to resist!!

I am sorry to hear JoJo is having such a hard time. I hope the baby makes it, but with the wonderful care you give to your dogs I don't doubt he'll be off and running in the next month.

Thank you Michele for your kind words. I am so HAPPY to announce JoJo is now taking care of her baby and he has gained weight!!!!! When my son left for school this morning I was on my bed with JoJo and her baby crying telling him I didn't think she was going to care for her baby and that I wasn't sure he would make it? I went to the vet to get formula for the puppy and when I came home JoJo was feeding him and taking care of him. Now she doesn't want to get out of her box for any reason. It was a hard day for all of us yesterday especially for Jo. I know she was upset and hurting and needing some special love and care last night. That was all I could do for her and I did my best. It helped because she has completely turned around today. I CANT TELL YOU HOW RELIEVED I AM!!! Of course Jo is the princess of the house and to continue to hold that title she is demanding that I had feed her in her box with the baby and bring her water to the box with her baby and bring her special treats and ice to lick in her box with her baby. I do all of them gladly for my little princess!!!

The biewers price is priced according to the following:

1. Both parents are Champions. The mothers show record is quite impressive.
2. Both parents have EXCELLENT Bloodlines.
3. Both parents have been liver shunt tested and patella tested.
4. These puppies are breed/show quality puppies. Prices are always higher for breed/show quality puppies.
5. They come with a year health guarantee that Kathy and I do stand behind.
6. They have their first and second shots and several wormings before they leave us and go to their new homes.

I am sure I am forgetting something. That was all I could think of off the top of my head. I invite you to do a search online on Biewers, biewer puppies and what they are selling for here in the US. Kathy and I are not the lowest nor are we the highest. We carefully selected breeders in Germany to purchase our breeding adults or puppies from. We wanted to make sure we are offering QUALITY HEALTHY PUPPIES!!!

Thanks Pam, I was going to reply and say that Judy has an impressive show record in Germany. We have not had time to show her in the US, as she came to us bred. The parents have been checked out in Germany for health problems. Pam and I will screen Judy and our others again periodically.
Here are the two girls that came in February from Germany. Both have had litter(s) before. I am hoping that Hanny is bred and will find out next week for sure. Ivette will not be in heat again for several months. Both are 2 years old. Tobi had to sneek into the picture too.

I snapped a quick picture of JoJo's little boy. I was bringing water to my princess and she let me take him for just a second while my son snapped this for me. He is beautiful and very tiny. Hopefully tomorrow he will be at the 4 ounce mark.

Wow, all your Biewers are beautiful, especially the babies. That little boy is too sweet!!!!! I love the Biewers. My neighbor also breeds Biewers and I love them. I have one reg. and I have had one litter so far. It is such a great experience. I love all your info and pics. Congratualtions on all your new additions. I think your price on the 5 weekers is very reasonable.

Sorry, I am either missing something or very very slow tonight. What numbers 2-8? Pam had listed 6 reasons for the price she listed.

She did not mention that our dogs are raised in the house, not a kennel far away from people, that our puppies come with a good start on the potty training, that we keep puppies until they are ready to leave, whether that is 10 weeks or 6 months, or older. A vet does ALL of our work, vaccinations, dew claws, check ups. It is not just our "opinions" that a dog is healthy. We feed high quality foods, not something that is picked up at Wal-mart. We have and will continue to show our dogs to prove that we have quality dogs, again, not just our opinion. We have carefully chosen our dogs for bloodlines and charateristics that we feel represent the Biewers properly. Everything we do puts the dogs' welfare above all else. We can give you references of people that have been to our homes to pick out/up dogs or that have just purchased dogs from us or even our vet.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion about price, size, coloring,& etc

. That is why there is so much variety to life.
