I think $3,500 for a dog is reasonable, ONLY IF: -The mother AND father are titled -BOTH parents have health certificates (OFA/CERF and so on) One of the breeds I show are Black Russian Terriers and they are sold for that much, and yes there's a market, HOWEVER, they need to have what I stated above, otherwise I think buyers are fools for paying that much. There's no real reason for it, imo. If the pups are worth that much you should prove it on both sides of your breeding stock, starting w/ the sire and dam. I'm NOT attacking anyone here, seriously. I don't know what this breeder does/doesn't do w/ her dogs, I was just addressing YorkiRini's opinion. |
I just had to come back and see the little ones again! I can't believe how much they've grown!! I love them all but my favorite is girl #3 ... I like the fact that she has a lot of white on her!! They're all stunning and simply adorable!! If I didn't already have 3 babies, I would definitely be PMing you about girl #3 ... I'm just in love with her!! :D But I'm positive you will have NO trouble selling them ... they're soo sweet to resist!! :p |
Pam, They are beautiful puppies! I am sorry to hear JoJo is having such a hard time. I hope the baby makes it, but with the wonderful care you give to your dogs I don't doubt he'll be off and running in the next month. |

the puppies are beautiful and if that's the price, then that's their price. |
kalina82, sorry if all you want to read on the threads you pull up are sweet and kind words. Opinions ALWAYS matter. That's one of the many reasons that YT is as diverse and delightful as it is. She didn't carry on, so chill please. |
Thank you Michele for your kind words. I am so HAPPY to announce JoJo is now taking care of her baby and he has gained weight!!!!! When my son left for school this morning I was on my bed with JoJo and her baby crying telling him I didn't think she was going to care for her baby and that I wasn't sure he would make it? I went to the vet to get formula for the puppy and when I came home JoJo was feeding him and taking care of him. Now she doesn't want to get out of her box for any reason. It was a hard day for all of us yesterday especially for Jo. I know she was upset and hurting and needing some special love and care last night. That was all I could do for her and I did my best. It helped because she has completely turned around today. I CANT TELL YOU HOW RELIEVED I AM!!! Of course Jo is the princess of the house and to continue to hold that title she is demanding that I had feed her in her box with the baby and bring her water to the box with her baby and bring her special treats and ice to lick in her box with her baby. I do all of them gladly for my little princess!!! The biewers price is priced according to the following: 1. Both parents are Champions. The mothers show record is quite impressive. 2. Both parents have EXCELLENT Bloodlines. 3. Both parents have been liver shunt tested and patella tested. 4. These puppies are breed/show quality puppies. Prices are always higher for breed/show quality puppies. 5. They come with a year health guarantee that Kathy and I do stand behind. 6. They have their first and second shots and several wormings before they leave us and go to their new homes. I am sure I am forgetting something. That was all I could think of off the top of my head. I invite you to do a search online on Biewers, biewer puppies and what they are selling for here in the US. Kathy and I are not the lowest nor are we the highest. We carefully selected breeders in Germany to purchase our breeding adults or puppies from. We wanted to make sure we are offering QUALITY HEALTHY PUPPIES!!! Thank you for your interest, comments, opinions and compliments on our biewers. Pam |
With all due respect numbers 2-8 are the rule rather than the exception. |

3 Attachment(s) Thanks Pam, I was going to reply and say that Judy has an impressive show record in Germany. We have not had time to show her in the US, as she came to us bred. The parents have been checked out in Germany for health problems. Pam and I will screen Judy and our others again periodically. Here are the two girls that came in February from Germany. Both have had litter(s) before. I am hoping that Hanny is bred and will find out next week for sure. Ivette will not be in heat again for several months. Both are 2 years old. Tobi had to sneek into the picture too.:animal36 |
JoJo's Boy 1 Attachment(s) I snapped a quick picture of JoJo's little boy. I was bringing water to my princess and she let me take him for just a second while my son snapped this for me. He is beautiful and very tiny. Hopefully tomorrow he will be at the 4 ounce mark. |

Wow, all your Biewers are beautiful, especially the babies. That little boy is too sweet!!!!! I love the Biewers. My neighbor also breeds Biewers and I love them. I have one reg. and I have had one litter so far. It is such a great experience. I love all your info and pics. Congratualtions on all your new additions. I think your price on the 5 weekers is very reasonable. |

She did not mention that our dogs are raised in the house, not a kennel far away from people, that our puppies come with a good start on the potty training, that we keep puppies until they are ready to leave, whether that is 10 weeks or 6 months, or older. A vet does ALL of our work, vaccinations, dew claws, check ups. It is not just our "opinions" that a dog is healthy. We feed high quality foods, not something that is picked up at Wal-mart. We have and will continue to show our dogs to prove that we have quality dogs, again, not just our opinion. We have carefully chosen our dogs for bloodlines and charateristics that we feel represent the Biewers properly. Everything we do puts the dogs' welfare above all else. We can give you references of people that have been to our homes to pick out/up dogs or that have just purchased dogs from us or even our vet. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about price, size, coloring,& etc:D . That is why there is so much variety to life. |

Keep up the good work. Further....that little JoJo is adorable. Puppies are so precious. And to think, my Black Russian Terrier was to have a litter right about now (she didn't take), but that's FINE, I'm due to have a litter of ONE myself any day now. lol Glad to hear they're all doing well!!! |

Jojo's little boy is beautiful. I am so glad to hear that Jojo is "mothering" her little boy. |
They are all beautiful. Congrats on a healthy litter. I can imagine that whatever you charge will not seem like enough after all the blood, sweat and tears we are all aware is put into a litter. Keep up the good work and ignore the normal bickering that rears it's ugly head from time to time. The REAL issue here is that these are some little cuties!:) |

I am glad JoJo is feeling better. |
Pam, glad JoJo has taken to being a mommy, the future looks bright for her little fella.. Kathy and Pam !! Yippee on getty Your two new girls, glad you posted their photos..Hanny is lovely, hope she took and Ivette...well you know my feeling on her. She's always been one of my favorites, you are lucky lucky ladies to have gotten such a beauty. Glad you kept your head held high on your litters pricing. I know to the kind the prices you are paying for the quality of dogs you two are bringing over from Germany and the time it takes to form relationships with good breeders in Germany for them even to allow you to bring in some of their best stock...I still can't believe you got Ivette  The more people that meet the Biewers, do research on them and allow them to come into their lives, the more they will understand the good quality lines from the rest, how to spot a well breed Biewer and, as in all dogs, how good quality breeders are worth their weight in gold. Sure, there are cheaper Biewers available, any many of lesser quality too...most of the time, you get what you pay for. Best of luck...can't wait to see more photos. Email me some of Ivette if you get a chance. -Diana:animal-pa |
JoJo's Boy Kathy actually came up with a perfect name for Jo's boy...I think we are going to call him A Little Bit of Glitz-N-Glamour. Glitz-N-Glamour is my kennel name and his name needs to begin with the letter 'A' so that is what his full name or the name on his registration name will be. Remember in Germany they track their litters by the letters in the alphabet. Kathy and I have kept that tradition here in the US as have many of the Biewer breeders. I have had the privilege of seeing Hanny and Ivette in person and those two ladies are absolutely gorgeous. Hanny has the best personality...very very sweet and Ivette well Ivette does not know a stranger. She is very friendly and out going. I can tell you their new momma adores them. |
I have hesitated to post on this thread because I don't like to post when I am angry. First I would like to say much I have enjoyed this forum for all that it has taught me about this wonderful breed and also for it leading me to Pam Hinkle and ultimately to getting my precious little CoCo. With that said, I also have to say that I am growing so weary of the ease in which some people on this forum seem to be able to attack others in the INSENSITVE ways they say things! I have been a part of YorkieTalk for well over a year and I have seen more and more of this kind of behavior and frankly, it makes me sick. Yes, everyone IS entitled to their opinions that is what a FORUM is for but it is also a place where some of us come to get POSITIVE ideas and feedback and help. It is a place where we come and hopefully feel safe with some of the questions we ask, big and small, because we hope that we can ask these questions without looking the fool. But the way things are going here, I am afraid to ask or say anything in fear that someone will SLAM me. It's just heartbreaking to me and because of it I find myself posting less and less. I never thought in a million years that this would happen because YorkieTalk was my favorite website. I am also PERSONALLY taking offense to the attack on Pam Hinkle and the price she is asking for her Biewer puppies. Unless you have had the GOOD FORTUNE to get a puppy from her, you would have no idea what a good, dedicated, caring, down-to-earth and FABULOUS breeder (and person) she is. Her number one concern and cause is the caring and well being of her dogs. I have never met anyone who loves her dogs more and will go to the end of the earth for one of her puppies. Anyone who gets a dog from Pam can be guaranteed that the dog will be healthy, happy, well socialized and loved beyond measure. I can not stress this enough. I know that Michelle (Bailey's mom) will attest to this as well after getting her Angel from Pam. There are many wonderful breeders on this site and I'm sure there are some not-so-wonderful ones but I, as an owner of three dogs, appreciate the dedication that the good ones have to their breeding programs. So when a great breeder sells a puppy, let's remember the countless hours and blood, sweat and tears that go into raising a litter of QUALITY puppies before slamming the price the breeder is asking for her puppies. Enough of my opinion..... Pam, I am thrilled that you are selling all of the Biewers from this litter because there will be 4 very lucky owners who will have the PRIVILEGE of getting one of your beautiful babies. They are absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Also, I am so glad that JoJo had her little boy and that mother and baby are doing okay now. I know from your email that you were beside yourself with worry for both of them. Thank God that JoJo came through her surgery and that she is learning how to be a good mommy to her little boy. I know that you must be so very relieved. Perhaps you can catch up on some sleep tonight. Keep us posted on the puppie's progress and God bless you for the love and dedication you show to your precious little one. Connie |

Thank You! Thank you for all the wonderful things you said about me/us in your posts. I can not tell you how much I appreciate them. I know I have told you this before I spoil my dogs as badly as I spoiled my kids. I guess I just don't know how to do it any other way! I have good news too. JoJo's baby has gained a little more weight today. He is now at 3 1/4 ounces. So we are on the right track. My princess has relaxed some today but she still is not getting out of the box for ANY reason. So momma is still hand feeding her in the box, bringing water to her in the box and giving her little licks of nutrical in the box. I do have to take her out to give her the medication she needs. I don't even take her 6 inches from the box then and she gets worried. I would say her motherly instincts have kicked in. I AM VERY RELIEVED!! I think the next two weeks will be touchy just because of his size so we will be very careful until I know for sure he is well on his way to a good start! Thanks again Connie for all the wonderful things you have said about me, Kathy and our babies. We appreciate your support! Pam |
Connie, Thank you for saying what others (ME) have been thinking. I hope Coco is doing well. |
My little Snow White is a Biewer but she is spayed. What do you charge for them? |
We are 8 weeks old!!!! 4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone...here are the babies at 8 weeks old. Look at how much they have changed. Their coats are starting to fill out and look really nice.
