Puppy Watch Begins!!!!!!
 
Well, the countdown is on for my Frankie. i didn't even think she was pregnant and then suddenly she popped out her little belly. today is day 60. temp has been between 98-99 for three days now. She is not due till satuday but she isn't feeling well this morning. She is my 'rounder". When I am near her, she goes round and round. just within the past few minutes, she has stopped going round and won't even get up when i go to the whelping box.. I have a feeling this is it. prayers desired for an easy whelp. Thanks

Fingers are crossed for an extra easy whelp !!!! Is this her 1st or has she had a litter before??? I didn't know you had another litter on the way !!! Congrats!

this is her third litter ( I think) and might be her last. She and kandy both will be four in March. This is the last litter I will have this year. I might breed them each one more time late next year and then retire them.

Praying all goes smoothly and uneventful for you guys. I get soooo nervous when it's time. And I order those around me around like a mad woman. Can't they read my mind? How many are you expecting?

How far along was she when she finally looked pregnant?

PUPPPPPPPPPPPPIES!!!! :D Ohhh I'm so excited!! I'll be praying for you and the little mama to have a safe and smooth delivery!! Congrats and enjoy that yummy puppy breath!! :D

Oh more puppies! I just love reading about new puppies. I hope she has an easy delivery and you get lots of cuddly little babies. Keep us posted we will be watching!

Thnaks, the vet says four at least. She, like kandy has a history of four-five. The vet didn't x-ray tho. he felt four. I took her in last week because of a problem i thought she had but didn't.

About five weeks i think. i was telling people I didn't think she was pregnant.

nothing yet. She is just resting in the corner of her x-pen. Won't stay in the whelping box in the corner of the pen.

Girl, you must be biting your nails waiting for the "time"!! I am so exited for you! You always have the most gorgeous puppies and I am sure these four little angels will be perfect! Sending you wishes for an uneventful delivery. Please keep us updated!

update!!!!!!!!!!
 
She is still resting a lot. Just ate some, then as soon as I left the room, she jumped into the whelping box and started digging then laid down. good sign. She has only been in the box twice and I had to put her over in it and she jumped right out. So, to me, this is progress even if she didn't stay but ten minutes. No other signs, no heavy breathing or anything

yes, I do get nervous. I get so hyper I can hardly stand myself. I get scared every time. Guess I will never get over Silk's experience with my first whelping. These are my last puppies this year. I agree the pups are all beautiful but not because of me. it's their little button nose daddy. Thanks for all the well wishes.

i know what you mean. i get hyper too and can't seem to sit down. pacing back and forth. if you drink, have a drink and i will have one with you.

Normally, i don't drink but on whelping day, i go to the liquer store and buy a bottle or two of dark beer. Then after all is done, i give mama one teaspooon of the beer to help bring her milk down and I sit down, put my feet up and swig the rest.

i am with you all the way. muffie loves loves beer when she is nursing. when shes not, she could care less for it.

Might as well go to bed, she is acting almost her old self, going round and round and round. For a couple of hours, she got in her whelping box and dug a little nest. I have been checking her every few minutes and she is standing looking thru the x-pen wagging her tail so it might not be tonight. Go on to bed and just check in the morning. i will be on here all night if it happend during the night. At least my hubby is here to help. Rememberhim? he is the expert who knows everything about breeding beagles and THINKS that qualifies him as an expert on yorkies LOL. just kidding, my hubby is great but yorkies are so different from beagles and he sometimes forgets that.

OMG, I am so excited Dee, this one is alittle bit more special to me than Kandies(not that I don't love her) but if some don't know Frankie is Bear & Annie's(dizpatch) mom....:p

I understand!!!!!!!!! I would like to get a little Annie for myself out of these. i haven't seen Dizpatch around lately. I wish she would post some updated pictures of Annie.
