| My Amy's 1 st litter They were born on 15-06-11, 1 male & 1 female. Yet, I lost my Amy's baby girl. She lived only 39 hrs. Her mommy jumped from the whelped box while she's sucking. So she fall to the ground. I blame myself not Amy as I should sit by her side and don't let her jumps. But she seemed to do good jobs so I was totally trust her. I wish my little boy will be fine. So far so good,I believe. Pic 1 & 2 Amy's her 2 babies Pic 3 The baby boy Pic 4 The baby girl I will post more pics of Amy & her baby boy soon. Hope you enjoy seeing them.

| Congrats to you sweet Amy on her new baby boy. I'm so sorry you lost the little girl. Try not to blame yourself, you didn't know...now you do and will know more of what can happen in the future. Best wishes to the new momma & son. I'll be watching for pictures.

| How awful for you. How far was the drop? Off a high table??? Mine has jumped out of her box several times dragging/dropping one (if she's suddenly startled/something like that)...so far not any problems, but it's only 2-3 inch drop.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | congrats on your litter and so sorry about the lost of your girl.. that is why I use a rubber maid container with a cut out on the floor, is safe and easy to clean. Just an idea for you to consider. as the pups get older I add the x pen around to keep them safe. hugs, Carmen in nj |

| It's about 2-3 inch drop too. But the baby girl was so tiny & fragile only 60 grams & it happened a few hours after birth. Yet, She didn't pass away suddenly, she lived 39 hours & cried all the time even nursing times. What a pity girl but she had lion heart.I wish she's now happy & healthy at the rainbow bridge till we meet again....

| I'd like to say more words about the baby girl as I couldn't edit in the above reply. It's my fault that I thought that only a few inch drop couldn't hurt her as far as she still could drink her mommy milk so I took her to the vet too late. She breath by mouth at that time.I took her twice. The first time the vet said that she's only hungry so I had to feed her myself every 30 mins or 1 hour. So I took her home as the vet advice. I took her back 2nd time about 2hours later as I saw her doing worse. This time she couldn't make it.She died before we arrived.

| Thank you kjcmsw for sharing your experience. The vet said that anything is possible. She couldn't tell what exactly cause this. By the way, which one should I name this boy? Call me first kiss or Could you kiss me,or any suggestions? His nickname is CK now.

| Amy's 1 st litter Congrats on litter...so sorry for your loss... Amy looks great...how do you keep her so clean and combed? My Bella just had a litter of 4 pups 2 boys, 2 girls, and she is so knotted from the births, I am afraid to wash her as everyone says not to because of the scent for the pups....anyway everyone is doing great they are 3 days old today..hopefully I can post pics soon.. | My Kalina jumps out of the whelping box all the time with puppies still hanging to her. You didn't do anything wrong, there was probably an underlying issue. Good luck with your puppies - they are adorable amd Amy is a beauty!
