Ginger's First Litter...EARLY This AM!!! YT Family... I am so thrilled to report that I am a Grandma of four new furbabies!!! Yep, my little girl, Ginger had her first litter this morning 3 boys and 1 girl. And, all right in my lap! She did exceptionally well. No panting, not much nesting, extremely quiet and when things got a bit rough for her, all she wanted was to be in my lap. Every time I tried placing her in her whelping den, she hoped out and on my lap. So, needless to say, after covering up with my thermals and a couple of old blankets underneath with towels in hand, I finally gave in. Here are a few pictures of the Mom in labor, having a contraction, just after a contraction, resting between puppies in her den... More pictures to follow...With the all the blessings together!

Awh, thanks for the love! I started using ouchless medium sized hair bands with my second litter after, ribbons would come undone and nail polish was a mess because this little ones wiggle SO much. These come in a wide variety of colors, costs pennies on the dollar and are just the right size to slip over a puppy's head immediately after birth. They also allow for about one to two weeks growth if needed. Although I can usually tell mine apart within a few days, if not sooner and I cut them right off when I do. Works like a charm!

Nope! Funny you should ask... My oldest son who is away in the U.S. Marines asked me the same thing...Little Snot! I stopped counting after 40 and don't feel a day over 20 MOST of the time!
