Wooooww, 7 adorable babies. May they all thrive!! be healthy! Mommy must be exhausted! I hope she recovers quickly. Thank God she did it all on her own (no c-section). How blessed are you! Congratulations!! |

Wow, 7!!! Congrats! |
Glad to hear eveyone came without a problem! That is a very large yorkie litter, I would supplement the strongest ones and let mom feed the weaker or smaller ones (maybe the girls). Best wishes for them to all flourish! Our yorkie Quaker was one of 8, 6 girls and 2 boys. They all made it too! :) |
omg 7 of them???? Poor Baby ! A big congrats :D That momma deserves some extra spoiling ;) |
3 Attachment(s) Hi, see pics attached... |
Congratulations again on you new babies. Momma and babies are precious. |
angel shakes alot. No tempurature, no wierd discharge. Vet says she is fine as long as she is eating and taking care of pupps. Any other opinions on this? |
Shaking and trembling is a sign of low calcium. Have you started her on a calcium supplement? It is going to be very important that she eats a lot more meals. I alway feed my moms at 6:30 a.m., 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Make sure she is eating a good quality puppy food. I add canned Pedigree Lamb and Rice Puppy food to their dry food. Also cottage cheese and eggs are good for nursing mother. She will need plenty of nutrition to feed 7 babies. The calcium supplement is essential. A little karo syrup and water might help her too. |
Do you have any Cal-sorb on hand. If not then I recommend you order some as soon as possible. You can get it from Revival Animal Health Products. They also have a good calcium supplement called Doc Roy's Healthy Bones, my girls love them. Some people also give their nursing moms Tums but I have never tried using them. Be sure to keep taking her temperature a couple times a day just in case she starts getting an infection. |
