How to attach .gifs / emoticons to a thread

I'm trying to upload some funny emoticons / .gifs to a thread...but can't seem to do it. Does anyone know how?

If they are an inch or bigger you can do it the normal way like you do a regular photo. Use the paperclip icon above and insert them at the appropriate place. Which looks pretty stupid.

If they are this size then they are too small to show up and you have to do them as a link. There are several ways to do them as a link, one way is to right click on the picture and look under properties for the web address and copy and paste that. This has been done as a link. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/ima...ies/tongue.gif You can also ask admin to upload them to their smilie list and then they will be easy for all of us to use.

Darn. My thought was to do a fun thread like "post your inappropriate emoticons/smileys or .gifs. But, I wanted to be able to show them w/out a link. So, the only real way to do that is if Admin uploaded them (not realistic)...?

That's the only way I know.

Still unsuccessful. I can only attach them as thumbnails and never in the main body of my text *sigh*

If its a big one like that you can attach it in the body of the message. I think it has to be 125 pixels to show up. To do it click on that little paper clip icon on the top of the message board. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/ima...tor/attach.gif The "manage attachments menu will come up. Upload the picture, and click on the paperclip think again. Click on the picture and it will attach to the thread. You decide where you want it, instead of it going to the bottom. If we could get smaller pictures to show up, it would look more normal.
