I am not "Queen of the breeders." I can only hope that someday I will be a quality breeder. I love this breed so much and I want to contribute to it. But I will not be breeding until I am ready to devote all my time, energy and resources to creating the best representations of the breed standard that I can. If I do my job right, these dogs will also be healthy and affectionate, and all around great dogs. It is one of my greatest goals. In the meantime, I'm learning all I can about the breed, and how to breed, and I've learned how to tell the difference between a quality breeder that cares about the breed, and someone who breeds for a profit. |
I read post after post after post on here where other members put down peoples statements or questions. I will admit that my comment was rude. If someone wants a mixed breed, honestly, what harm is it causing you? Putting someone down on a YorkieTalk discussion board will not help the integrity of the breed- why not use your time on something that will? I think Admin should make a rule that if you can't answer the question posed in the thread, or have something positive to say regarding that question, then you shouldn't reply at all. Anna Banana- I am not going to reply to you via PM, I have nothing to hide regarding my actions. |

Anna Bannana Anna Bannana. Don't worry about what you wrote. Anyone that read it should realize that you were just trying to educate on what potentially could be a not so good breeder. I have a Morkie who I adopted out of the newspaper and I LOVE HER. However, if you go to www.puppymillrescue.com and read up on "Designer Dogs" which Morkies are called, it explains how most of these mixed breeds (Because this is what a designer pup is) come from Puppymills and backyard breeders. Many people do not realize this and I personally took your post as your trying to point this out. It's highly unlikely that you will find an experienced well respected breeder cross breeding their Yorkies. And, I don't think you have to die and come back as "Queen of the Yorkie Breeders" to know this. Elaine |
Man alive! Whenever I do get my Morkie, or Snorkie, or Yochon, I will NOT be announcing it here! It's not just this thread, but time and again I see people lambasted here just because they don't want a pure-bred. Cheesh! |
I too was made to feel stupid recently and I must say that in a way I deserved it. I went to the breeder section and asked about selection a breeder (meaning a puppy to breed) (I just had a litter of yorkiepoos born on 7/9 and was considering keeping one for breeding). Though I can see some of the negative sides to mixing breeds. I believe sometimes it is not what you say but how you say it. There is noone on this site or on the face of this earth that has a Yorkie that loves it more than I love my YorkiePoo. She is a beautiful and intelligent dog who has been my best friend and savor over the past 2 years. Anyways I hope you find what YOU are looking for and that your life will be as fulfilled as mine is with my YorkiePoo. |
