Below are two pictures taken a week ago, this was not after bath.... pardon the dull coat look... she was in need of conditioning, she likes to run through the sprinklers and rub in the dirt... She may look like a princess and sit in your lap for 80% of the day... but she's all dog. She is Microchipped, Her AKC paperwork has open rights and Paris is still intact.

I'm not looking to make any money on Paris, but my husband is firm that I recoup what I have spent. (which is far more than what I am asking) Men:rolleyes: He was actually talking about vet costs and other expences... lol Please.... he's so silly. She will come with her crate and 5 months of advantage, the rx for heartworm prevention and her misc belongings.

A move is forcing this decision to rehome her. I am putting up the ad here in hopes that I won't have to advertise locally. So if you know anyone please pass the word.

So thats that... I hope I covered the basics...

She really is beautiful. I wish I could take her. Best of luck finding her the perfect home.

jrsygal37 06-12-2007 12:39 PM

Kathryn. Sorry, you are rehoming your beautiful baby. I see you have two Yorkies? Were they raised together? It's going to be very hard on them being separated. Is your little one spayed and did she get along well with your other Yorkie? Elaine

Tiger's Mom 06-12-2007 12:55 PM

Hey Kat, am confused. Who went to Misty? Does this mean that if you SOLD Paris, you will only have your chinese crested left?

I hope you will find Paris a great home . . . she is gorgeous and anyone will be so lucky to have her.

my2boyz 06-12-2007 12:55 PM

She's beautiful...hmmm...now I'm thining and that can be a dangerous thing!

I'm sorry too... But it is what it is. I had placed her and it did not work out. see this post:

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...=1#post1173562

Paris was raised With Pixie and they get along just fine, Pixie could care less for Paris though... Chynna and Paris play alot though... and Paris and my Lab Charlie get along very well... eat out of the same bowl sometimes...

I said in the ad that Paris is intact, meaning that she has not been spayed.

I know its been very hard on Paris being seperated.... Pixie, on the other hand, has acted like she has no clue that Paris ever left, that or she just simply doesn't care..... Pixie is such a B*#$*, and I say that with such love.

She is such a precious girl. I hope for your sake and hers that you can find someone that can love her and work her into their family. She sounds like a little joy, and I'm sorry you couldn't keep her. Wish I could take her, but $1400 is a little too much for me at this point.... I really hope a YTer gets her though. Good luck, Kathryn! It sounds like things have been tough for you lately, but let's hope this is the worst of it, right?

Dartprincess 06-12-2007 02:04 PM

Are you keeping the other dogs you have or rehoming them also . Sorry you have to do rehome.

Yorkieluv 06-12-2007 03:21 PM

Paris is so incredibly adorable!! I really wish I could take her...But I already have 2 furbabies. Oh man, I wish I could though!! :)

what a sad story. Seems when it rains, it pours. good luck!

tiggerr36792 06-12-2007 03:31 PM

I am so sorry your having to rehome your precious little girl. I know your not happy about it, but I do commend you for taking care of family first. Moving isn't easy and I wish you the best.

Kathryn_V 06-12-2007 06:17 PM

Thank you all for the well wishes!

Paris is home now and doing just fine. Pixie is Pissed... Little miss priss was quite please to have me all to herself for the two days that Paris was gone. lol But other than Pixies pouting, everyone is just fine.

I too am sorry that we are rehoming her, but the decision has been made. My father needs my help and he has to come first right now. Its an awful position to be in but I am making the best of it. Its really going to work out in the end, I just know it will.

I am not rehoming everyone. Not that it makes a difference.... I am allowed 2 dogs where I am going and I let my husband and daughter collectivly choose one, and I had no choice with Pixie. She would end up abused somewhere if anyone else was asked to put up with her! I had her with me at Jens for less than a week and her neighbors were knocking on her door! She is a big problem dog! The barking alone is enough to drive even a saint insane! So I am keeping Pixie.

Anyway....

I know that the perfect home is out there and We will find it! that I am sure of! ;)

Jenn218 06-12-2007 06:31 PM

Ohhhhh, Kathryn! I am sorry to hear about that......poor Paris, I worry so much about her. I want her so badly but my DH said that was too much for an older one....(although, I don't think she is old at all and I know she is well worth it). I know that Mojo would love her and my daughter would spoil her rotten, especially since we homeschool and stay home.....ohhhhhh......She is gorgeous, I have always thought she was! I just hope that she goes to a home that cares for her and will give her the attention she needs.

browniesmom622 06-12-2007 06:43 PM

i would love to have her but shes to much and she would be very jealous of Austin
shes has always been my fave i know you know that :D

good luck finding her a home

tell hubby that she would have a better chance of getting agood home if he wasnt wanting to much

mojo should get a sister!!

Its funny that you said that about price/age. I had this discussion with a friend not too long ago when she was deciding between a puppy or a young adult. The people wanted more for the young adult, 15 months old, than they did for the puppy. She was just floored!

I'm not a breeder and I know everyone is different.... But when she asked me what I would do... I told her I would pay more for the adult. At least I would know what I was getting! With a puppy there is no way of knowing what your in for! How many Times have we read posts about new owners that went and paid some crazy price for a puppy that was supposed to be 3lbs or smaller and at 6months they are worried cause "Buster" is tipping the scales at 5.5 and they are wanting us to tell them that they won't keep growing! When we all know they are on track to hit 9 or 10! They are all tiny at 8 weeks! lol And the shouldn't even be going home till 10 or 12.

Yes do your homework and whatnot, and lots of those people did... but even then you cant be sure what a pup will mature to. Unless you are buying from some of the best show breeders who carry the best lines and who have sound breeding programs and because of years of breeding their line can tell you roughly what you can expect.... you cant be sure. I wish it was as easy as cookie cutter, you get what you pay for buying... but it isn't always so. Your getting a puppy that will grow to become a dog, you won't know till that puppy grows up what that dog will be... Half the fun is watching that happen... its also all the work, lol

Anyway.... I don't want to start a debate... I just thought it was funny that its been said since I just went through this with a friend. :)

Jenn218 06-12-2007 07:17 PM

I just now when I was looking into a female, oh, it has been awhile back, she was older and the people were asking $600 for her, everyone here thought it was too much....$600! Okay, I am going to search for that thread to make sure. Of course, you can imagine, she found a home and it was a good home.

Too, I think most people look for puppies because for one, they are cute, and they get to know them and they get to "raise" them, etc. Myself, Mojo was a puppy and that is what I wanted...now, the rescue dogs have all been older. If I had to pay for another dog (especially a higer price), it would more than likely be a puppy because that would be what my daughter would really want. Like you said, everyone has their own opinions and thoughts about it. I think though, if I found the perfect one, it wouldn't matter.....

Since you offered Paris to Misty for free, is there not somone else local that would be a good home for her that you know?

Jenn218 06-12-2007 07:37 PM

Okay, I found the thread and it was for an older, 2lb female, but she didn't have her papers. They were wanting $500 and the reason I didn't get her, was because she already went to a good home (they kept her in the family, just not in their home, they were needing money to pay some medical bills).

Anyway, if you can find a good home for her (one that she sooo deserves), that is what matters. I know, you might worry about getting a certain amount for her (and that is your right because she is yours), but a good loving home is more important (well, in my eyes)...course, I woudn't sell Mojo for anything, so I can't say much because I am not in your shoes. I know it hard for you to deal w/, but I do wish her the best! I know when you find the right place for her, you will know it, no matter what the cost.

Please note...I am not saying anything bad....or atleast I hope it doesn't come across as sounding bad. You know I love you and you know I have always love "the girls"!

Kathryn_V 06-12-2007 07:40 PM

You are mistaken, Paris was not offered to Misty for free. I refunded Misty this afternoon.

I need replace Paperwork through AKC because it was filled out and is now unuseable to transfer... I drove an hour each was on three occasions to meet with her, thats 6 hours! I Bent over backward to ensure that I was doing it right. And I failed....

If you don't agree with the price I have listed I'm sorry... That price will rule out alot of homes, true! But I don't want her in a home that can't afford her. It may sound bad, but that is that... In CA if I offered her up for 600 she'd be gone in two seconds and in someones back yard being bred to death. Or snapped up by someone who may pass her around without a care. I know what I paid for her and I know that I want a home for her that is willing to do the same. I will not apoligize for that.

I'm sorry. I am not going to answer any more questions... I knew it was a mistake to post this ad. I will just advertise locally. I can't read about how I am doing this wrong. This is hard enough as it is.

LoveMyGirlz 06-12-2007 07:44 PM

OMG I LOVE her! Look a me, I'll have a farm in no time
I'm sorry, I haven't followed the story Kathryn, but is it possible this could be a temp situation and that you may be able to have her back after you get through whatever it is you are going through? Just thought I'd ask...cause I'd be able to talk my husband into THAT but if I suggest one more dog, he's gonna flip! He's already calling me "the crazy dog lady" :p

Oh no Kathryn!! Please don't take anything I said the wrong way.....you know that the best place to advertise her is on here....a good YT family so you can see her. I am sooo sorry if I have upset you!

I must have read your post wrong about when Misty took her home and I am sorry for that.

I know if I wanted something for something of mine, I would want the asking price......So I understand where you are coming from on that.

I know I would be the same way, I am so anal about Mojo and well, about any dog in general. It is true that some places, a lower price will get no telling who calling....a higher price doesn't always mean a good home. --I am not complaining about your price at all...I just stated that my DH thought it was too much. Well, of course he did, he is a man - just joking YT fellows!!!

Please keep your post up and maybe there will be a good YT home for her.

But please just remember, remember your post about Chynna...you couldn't afford her and traded a ring for her.....remember how people felt about that. I wonder what the lady selling her thought about a person who couldn't afford to take her puppy home....remember what fellow YT members thought too......so, I am just concerned about Paris....that is yet. That is me...I am always more concerned w/ the dog then anything else.

HUGS TO YOU!!!

Whoa, LOL... :) Paris wasn't free to me. I did pay Kathryn's asking price for her.

I just wanted to let everyone know that, while it wasn't the best match for our family, Paris is a wonderful dog! She is very sweet and cuddly, loves to snuggle, walks beautifully loose-leash style, and she even knows to not go into the kitchen near the stove or anything. (I have tried and tried to teach Chloe to stay out of the kitchen when I'm cooking.)

Kathryn please give the YTers a chance at her first! I agree with you about where she may end up - you do not have to explain yourself! Of course this is breaking your heart! I, and I'm sure you too, would much rather see her go to someone you "know." I wish it were me that would keep her!

Ohh, Misty, I am soo sorry that poor Paris didn't work out...but what could you have done?! You did everything...that poor girl! And I was so hoping that she would be close by her "home" for visits too. I know that you were heartbroken, as was Kathryn!! This is always just a bad situation when this happens. Hugs to everyone!!! I am sure Kathryn will find a good loving (and hopefully) YT home for her!!

Kathryn...this is a hard time for you....you jsut worry about finding that perfect home for sweet Paris. That girl deserves the best and she will find it.
I hope she goes to a loving home here on YT so we can all see her!

Punkin&Piper 06-12-2007 08:01 PM

I wish I could buy her she would fit so Well with Punkin,Piper and Picasso (all P's). Hopefully we find a place to settle into in CA soon

MyTrixie143 06-12-2007 08:01 PM

Kathryn, I am so sorry things didn't work out for Paris and Misty!!

Paris is such a doll!! I must ask, I know you have two dogs, is Paris one of Linda's babies??

If I had the money I would snatch her up in a heatbeat. Had I known sooner I might have been able to get her but with all the costs of us moving we don't have it right now. It makes things even more tempting if she was one of Linda's babies!!

I am so sorry that you have to rehome her, I know how hard it must be for you!!
Sending prayers and hugs your way!!

Jenn218 06-12-2007 08:06 PM

Maybe there will be more "lookers" tomorrow during the day....I so hope that she goes to a loving YT home.

I wish I could take her....BUT we just paid to have a pool put in....which it is finally getting ready this week (FINALLY).....otherwise, I would find a way to sneak the payment to you...hee,hee...where my DH wouldn't know the price.
