Looking for a Babyface Tiny Puppy. Please, Ive been searching for AGESSS. Arghh. And I found a good one, but my mom wont let me spend over a thousand. >_> I want it to be like..2-3 poundss and with a tinnyy body and a cute facee. :] |
Just a word of advice: Generally, reputable breeders do not stive for puppies that small. You will find that when they do, chances are they are not the kind of people you want to support and get a dog from. Also, for the record, these same types of breeders that often use the terms "tiny" and "babyface" as you have mentioned, usually do so as a marketing ploy to drive up prices and screw over prospective owners. If you are using those terms and looking for a 2-3 pound Yorkies, that's probably why you are seeing such astronomical prices...which would pale in comparison to what you'd probably be out for vet bills and heatache. If you ask me, it sounds like your mom is a smart woman.:) |
xD. That sounded somewhat familiar to what my mother told me. >_> Well, where could I possibly get a dog that little with a cute little facee? And for not alot of money. |

Try asking some of the vets in your area. They may be able to recommend a good breeder to you. Also, I'm not sure about your area, but if there is a PetSmart, I know their onsite trainers recommend breeders from time to time...I know that the ones here do.:) As for the cute face...if you get a Yorkie, that's pretty much a given!;) Good luck! |
Hahha. Mommiee. =X Arghh it's SO complicated!!! I've been stressing out over this for the past 3 days! GRR. And I had two perfect offers on this type of dog exactly how I wanted it but my mom said no because she wanted to see it in person and was scared that it would be a scam because it would be shipped from Texas in a plane over here. And another one was gonna come from West Africa. xD How coool. |
Good for your mom. If it was from West Africa it was definitely a scam. But I think you can find some perfectly good yorkies here for at least a thousand... but for the weight you want you might end up spending a little more. Besides, my Theresa only weighs 5 lbs and she only looks 3lbs. So it all depends on their body and bone structure. Also, you might get a puppy that weighs only 2 or 3 lbs and then they might get a growth spurt and weigh 9 or 10lbs. It is really difficult to judge the weight of the dog. But good luck in search! Hi and good luck - You should listen to your mom. With all the scams out there now be very careful who you buy from....and also you may want to read up on caring for a tiny. There's alot of info right on this site. If you're on a tight budget - you also need to factor in vet care once you have the puppy... it can be much higher with a tiny. |

Yeah I agree with what everyone said. I am too looking for a little babydoll face yorkie, but 2 to 3 pds is extremly tiny. My little girl was 3.5 to 4 pds and she had a small frame. She had a babydoll face and I think she was really tiny as small as she was I had to be very careful I can't imagine one smaller than that. You need to be careful. You can always get a small that weighs more, but has a small frame like my little Summer had. That is what I am looking for. She was very short to the ground and had a short body. |
to bad your not closer to Indiana, the breeder I got Lillie from is Jill Brooks and she produces the sweetest baby doll faces! Are you willing to travel?? It would be worth it! |
Lol I'm not willing to travel. And I think it was a scam, that's why I'm sticking to breeders from here. |
1 Attachment(s) GOOD LUCK on your search I have a tiny and she is sooooooo fun and loving I can't get enough of her. Happy yorkie hunting, to find one that small with the babydoll face and $1,000 or under you are going to be doing ALOT of yorkie hunting, but it's fun just be patient and the one that was meant for you will come :D Here is a pic of my baby she weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces, |
2 Attachment(s) Aww! Omg, she is SOO cute! I have two chihuahua's. Picsss: 1. The mommiee. [[Baby]] 2. The daddieee. [[Coquito]] |
someone looks like they have a nice house!!!! lol cute babies too! are you having any luck on yorkie breeders right now? did you read my pm? |

we paid 400 for my boy but hes big well not real big but hes like 3 to 4 pounds at 6 months but he hasnt been growing any lately so idk |
Wow. That's pretty cheap. I have no limit now thanks to my birthday party. |
Any luck finding your puppy? The best piece of advice I can give you is...please buy from a reputable breeder...Just because you pay more does not mean you will get a better dog. There's one breeder that charges up to $10,000 for a dog, and that breeder is FAR from reputable. Pups have been known to be sick or die within weeks of being in their new homes. Look for someone who provides at least a 1yr health guarantee against congenital diseases/defects...Someone who cares about where their dogs are going. Good luck! |
Thanks for the advice. :] |
good luck on your search for your new baby !! keep us posted !! :D |
good luck |

do a search on here or just go to the sick/injured forum and read some of the stories people go through b/c of bad breeding from bad breeders .. it may make you be more choosey in a different way than just size, looks, and money for your puppy. so my advice find a GREAT breeder, SEE the place your potential puppy was raised in, ASK the breeder TONS and TONS of questions, and listen to pple here b/c most have been in the same position as you before gluck my dear in finding your perfect loveable puppy .. |
Good Luck and be wise with all the scams out there, that would be horrible to get your hopes up and then be let down with someone trying to rip you off... |

If you like dogs this size then why not get one that will be 4 lbs. Believe me there isn't that much of a difference. If you can handle 4 lbs, then you can handle 5 lbs. Also when looking for a Yorkie look for people who do health testing. Liver Shunts, OFA at the min. Good luck in your search |
Also wanted to add...just because a puppy is small dosent mean you can tell how big it will grow..you may pay alot for a small yorkie puppy and it turn out to be much larger than you thought or vice versa..Darla's mom was 8 pounds and her dad was 4 and she is 5..Reece's parents were both around the 7 pound mark and he is 4.5 pounds...good luck in your search!! Dawn |
I totally agree with everyone here - I bought a male and was told he would be about 4.5 full grown. Well he's 14 mos and he's about 3 lbs right now. Didn't want a yorkie this small because I've read about all the health problems and how delicate they can be. Thank God he's very healthy - I wouldn't change him ever! But I don't think I would ever buy a 2 or 3 pounder just too risky. Just my opinion.... |
Thanks for all the advice. I think I'm too young and have too many things on my hands right now to be able to have a puppy. Plus, it's alot of money and very risky. I think I will wait maybe 'till i'm in college. :] |
