Want Teacup Am interested in female, silver Teacup Yorkie puppy. We have Daisy who is 1 year old. We were told she would be teacup. She is 7 lbs 6 oz and has one ear up/one down. Therefore we are interested in purchasing a "good' one. We love Daisy very much and want a playmate for her.:aimeeyork |
Good luck in your search. |
there is no guarentee in size 7 lbs is a standard yorkie you never kno exactly what size they will be |
What exactly do you consider a "tefacup" ? Since fthere is actually no such thing as a "teacup" yorkie, the interpretation is left open to the reader. Are you looking for one under 7 pounds? under 5 pounds? under 3 pounds? |
Awww....I'm sure Daisy is a "good" one! Good luck in finding what you are looking for.:) |

There are alot of yorkie owners that have the so called "teacups" and good ones at that!!!!! Im one of them.:) There are alot of yorkies who are 10 lbs or more that have health problems. What if us "teacup" owners looked down on owners who have oversized small breeds that exceed the standard weight? |
How sad to read you looking for a "good one". I thought they were all good ones. I feel bad for the pup because you think he is not a good one. Please do research on this site regarding a teacup because there is no such thing. I wouldn't want you to be dissapointed again! What would you think of a 13.5lb yorkie? Really put you in a spin huh? That's my Buddy. Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |

4 to 5 pounds is a nice size. When soem people use the term "teacup" they are referring to 2 to 3 pounds and that is frowned upon on this site. they are just too fragile. It is accepted that a larger set of parents can occasionally produce a very small puppy, but it is not acceptable for breeder to deliberately try to breed for the tiny ones in order to chrge more for them. It's one of the few markets where people will actually pay more money to get less. |

I think it says alot that she has kept her yorkie most people who have given her up if it was not what they expected. |

your right Megan. :yelrotflm :yelrotflm I have heard it. lol Some even say a 3 lber isnt a teacup. but I was meaning i have not read any mean statements about the "huge " yorkies on YT. I always read tinies are sickly tinies are this tinies are that. |
I have the so called tea cup or designer pup or purse puppy, whatever they all seem to a call them. She's just a bit over 3 lbs. We didn't choose her on size, just chose her because someone couldn't keep her and we fell in love with her. I also have three Yorkies that you would probably consider "Not good ones" one ear up, one ear down. One being 16 lbs, Yes 16 lbs. Wow seven pounds and one ear up and one ear down and you say that you want a "Good one" such a shame that you would judge her/him like that. All of my Yorkies are good ones even the big butt that weighs 16 lbs. And, if you're looking for a playmate for your seven pounder you'd be far better getting a bigger Yorkie not a Tea Cup. Also, people here speak the truth with regard to buying a Tea cup. There really is no such thing. They are really just tiny Yorkies, below the standard size and yes some are very healthy but then again some suffer from Hyperclycemia, etc and if you don't have experience with such a small size you could lose him/her. Good Luck to you. Elaine |
