| Have you had her tested yet - too make sure she is in great health and not a carrier of Liver Shunts or Laxtiating Petellas? - just to mention a few. Get this done first. How is her color, coat texture, size, bone structure, etc... Which stud would you use? Make sure he is also of excellent quality and passed all testing. Are you ready to pay stud fee: 500.00 - 850.00. Know about contracts? Know how to birth in case a pup gets stuck? I don't want to burst your bubble - we just have so many problems out there. And I would hate for you to loose your baby. Just be prepared and so your research. T. |

| Maybe it would be easier to buy from someone who knows about breeding from YT? It seems cheaper to breed but there are risks and problems that may happen and if you do more research, it may be more simple to find some good breeders and buy from them? Just my opinion. I see you are from Nevada. Are you near Vegas? Hubby and I sometimes go there

| Hello NewMommy If I'm not mistaken you were helping me in my thread for advice when my Sabrina was going into labor the other night. I have to say that before Sabrina got pregnant (was not intended) I was going to purchase a standard size yorkie because I wanted to do some hobby breeding, maybe 1 litter every two years or so, but when Sabrina got pregnant all of that changed. I've never been so nervous in my life, I have to say that when Sabrina was in her last week of labor I didn't get any sleep maybe 5 hours of sleep throughout the whole week, and now that the baby's are here I haven't been getting any sleep, there is still alot of things to worry about and take care of. I never thought breeding could be this expensive, Sabrina needed a c-section $3500, in 2 more days the babies go to have there dew claws removed and there tails docked there are three babies $65 each baby for the removal of dew claws and tails docked $195, they get there first shots $41 dollars each puppy $123, not to mention the extra food supply for Sabrina, the Esbilac milk for the babies and all of the other things I've spent money on for this litter, all together I am so far in to the $4000 range and there is still a long way to go, I don't even think once my babies are big enough that I will make even half of my money back, I think you might want to really think twice before breeding I've definitely changed my mind, plus my nerves are no good for it. On top of all of that I'm find myself getting attached to babies I no I cannot keep and I know it's going to be hard to get rid of them because I refuse to give my babies to just anybody regardless to how much money they have, so that can become a big problem for me, who knows what I will do, probably keep them in the end. |
