Hi,
You seem like a very caring breeder. I hope she finds a wonderful home and I'm sure she will.

I just have one question though...and I don't mean to make anything "turn ugly" or "attack" or anything else like that.
I noticed you will not ship her due to her size. What was the difference in shipping her in from another country when she was much smaller than she is now?

Please note...I have nothing against shipping and had an import myself. It seems at times we can't just come out and ask questions without having to explain ourselves first, but this was my attempt at it.

Best wishes,

I would like to make it clear I DO NOT import dogs for resale!

I have had this little girl for five months watching her grow and weighing her and hoping against all hope she would have a growth sprit and I was wrong about her size. I know some people do not consider this too small or breeding. I see breeders proudly advertising 2 pound babies, will stay small, tiny tiny yorkies and so on.....I can not do this. I can not breed a dog this size. Once bred and you have puppies then what? The puppies are shipped to the new homes? Shipping a puppy that size scares me to death and I could not and would not do it. If you notice it even says on this ad that I will NOT ship this little girl. The reason??? Her size!!! I know we all love our babies and can be very opinionated over certain things about these little darlings. I am guilty of that too. I don't want this thread to turn ugly. I realize you don't know me so that is why the question was asked. I can appreciate that. We must all take a stand against puppy mills and brokers that only have their pocketbook in mind when they see or buy a puppy. I assure you this is not the case here. I still own my original yorkie that is over 10 years old now, I used to breed them but I also own her daughter and her daughters son and daughter. Do you see a pattern here? I fell in love with the Biewer Yorkies from Germany and am beginning a very small breeding program if I can overcome the desire to keep everything I bred and see. I had no idea she was as small as she is when I purchased her. I have learned a lot about looking at pictures when that is all you have available to make a decision on buying a puppy. This little girl is small and is picked on by my bigger/older dogs because of her size. Though it breaks my heart to sell her I felt it was the best decision FOR HER. She is very very sweet and very laid back which I think is why my other dogs like to torment her. They are just playing and not aggressive but it really is not fair to her. I am looking for the perfect home for her, a place she will be maybe only one of two in a family and she can relax and enjoy life and be spoiled rotten! I have a list of questions that will need to be answered before this baby will leave my care. I do take this very seriously and am willing to provide my vets information to anyone wanting to know about me and how I care for my dogs!

Again I thank you for your concern and for giving me this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I hope this helps you understand my motives!
You seem like a very caring and ethical breeder to me I wish you the best of luck

I would be willing to have her spayed before selling her. That would be no problem. To answer your question about shipping. I had NO IDEA she was as small as she was when I was looking over her photos. She weighed 1.9 pounds and traveled from Germany to the US. 1.9 Pounds!!!! I was shocked when I saw her in real life for the first time and even more shocked when I my vet weighed her the day after she arrived. They can not eat or drink when they are being shipped that far. Can you imagine the horrible thoughts that ran through my head when I first saw her. Fortunately she has never had a problem with blood sugar and loves to eat. I feed her several times during the day and she always has food and water available.

As far this thread turning ugly, I say to everyoned - quit judging people and attacking them in ALL the threads! Everyone has different lives, values, etc... we don't need to push ours onto everyone else.

Oh yes, I can imagine your horrible thoughts you had. I've been in your shoes.
I'm glad she arrived safely. And I feel your pain over her size. I'm also going through a similar experience with size here at my home...only difference is the deal has been sealed with me and this little one and I'm not going to part with her. She is very beautiful....good luck to you and to her.

Well - I'm here if you don't find a home ..I LOVE HER looks ! (she's out of my price range but I can dream right ??) I think spaying her is a smart thing to do if she's that small ....for your own peace of mind and her protection. She's just precious.

Yes, we know each other. We are trying to help each other get started with the Biewers. It is very diffecult when the German breeders make you commit to puppies that are just days old. So far between ksbiewers and myself we have 1 male too large, 3 females too small. This leave her with 1 male of acceptable size and me with a male and two females that should get big enough. We also like to work together so that a puppy does not have to travel alone. We have driven over 9 hours one way just to make sure the puppies had a non-stop flight from Germany. We both live with our dogs, so that limits space also for the dogs we can keep in our breeding programs. Do we intend to import for reselling, NO! We have both keptthe puppies for months. Even then it is a hard decision to let a puppy go. I did let Piccolo go to another person several months ago, but then my heart made me go get him, as I did not feel that was the right place for him. I will know when the right home comes along sometime, until then I have a wonderful Biewer male that has been neutered and house trained to love. As ksbiewer stated earlier, we will not intentionally breed for the tinies, but they do happen. Angel and Aspire were from a bitch that we co-owned. In that litter we have puppies that will range from 3 pounds to over 10 pounds! Mother was 9 pounds and father 4.5. We take breeding as a great responsibility. Not only for producing great quality puppies, but for finding a forever homes that will be loving, whether it is for a pet or breeding. We put much love and pride into our dogs. They are parts of our families and treated as such. We screen people before we will place a dog with them. It is not as simple as "click on the button to pay for your puppy" as we have seen on some sites.

You both sound like very nuturing and caring breeders. Good luck in your venture and in placing your puppies. Thanks for sharing your stories with us. She is just beautiful.

i tried to edit because i forgot to say that I think this is a very beautiful puppy. I totally understand about having to rehome her. I have a tiny one that i have watched since she was nine weeks old. She is a year old now and just MIGHT weigh four pounds soaking wet. She is the sweetest and cuddliest one I have. She loves to give kisses. it is a difficult decision to try to make. We love her to death but realize that we can't keep them all.

She's a "wiggle worm", huh? You gotta love that Yorkie spirit!
My little Ava was the same way w/ photos for awhile too.

And my original post wasn't intended to be hateful by any means. Quit trying to fish for something that doesn't exist please. I didn't think it was worded harshly at all...obviously since I posted it and nothing mean was meant by it.

Can't wait to see more of this little girl.

Unfortunately, she is WAY out of our price range (boo-hoo, since you are located in Kansas as well) ... but boy is she gorgeous!!

I sure hope you find a kind, loving forever home for her. I'll be forever jealous of her new owners!
