Wanted Parti-Yorkie I am searching for a Parti Yorkie for our household. I have seen photos and I think they are beautiful. I am a mother of 3 now and would like to ad one more and would like it to be a parti. It would certainly have the best of everything here. If anyone has any for sale could you please contact me . There is quite a waiting list fior one. I've been waiting now for about 6 months. But I'm sure she will be well worth the wait. |

They are beautiful, however I was reading that they could have different genectic defects. It also said any breeder that purposely breeds then is being irresponsible. I'm not saying that this is my opinion,just something I read. I really don't have one. |

The word "parti" just denotes the fact that there is "white" in the coat. It can be white mixed with gold, white mixed with gold and black or whatever. |

Different lines. the Biewer is a German line and the Parti is American. They both came about from breeding two traditional yorkies that each carried the parti gene, which can produce a tri colored puppy. Some yorkie breeders including the Yorkshire Terrier club of America, doesn't believe in reproducing these tri colored dogs, because they do not look like the Standard set for the yorkie. However they have been accepted by the AKC, but not for conformation, mainly because there just arent enough of them and all of them are very closely related. Here is a picture of my babies daddy. |
