Their puppies to me seem to be very overpriced, is this normal pricing for that area?

This is just so sickening. These people will sell on several different websites at varying prices. They will take $450 or they will take $3,000. Whoever comes up the money first. The buyer usually does not get the pictured pup but whatever pup they have handy. These people work with puppy mills from this country and some of them even import dogs from other countries, like Korea. Many people receive sick and dying puppies and never get their money back. They only have the heartache of seeing a suffering little fur baby and a huge vet bill.
These are the worst kind of "humans."

Most of what I know I have learned since coming to YT. It is heartbreaking to read the various stories of people who have been taken in by these scams. Just recently someone posted a link to her webpage with info on the particular person who sold her a very expensive dying puppy. I still don't understand why people have no legal recourse with these people.

Many states are passing puppy lemon laws and you do have legal rights. Even in states that don't have the lemon laws, you can probably take the breeder to small claims court if a vet says that the dog had a genetic problem or the illness was there when you purchased it. The problem is most people are emotionally devastated when something like this happens, it's not even about the money and money won't make them feel any better so they don't do anything. However suing these breeders would put many out of business, and I encourage people to do it, don’t just take another dog from them, get your money back. Some courts have even allowed suing for punitive damages or pain and suffering.
