Awesome. There is nothing that makes me happier than someone who as both you and I did at the start, didn't know the info but learned and understood the purebred dog purposes. But as a show breeder, I will tell you from the very start, my purpose to get into Yorkies was never purely for the purpose of selling puppies. From the start I wanted to show my dogs, produce a nice show dog for myself and along the way yes there were puppies available for pet homes. Sire and/or dam usually are championed, pedigrees usually are at least 75% champions.
Purpose of breeding is always something to consider before a purchase from a breeder.

I LOVE this. Thank you for posting this megansmomma. This is so important. If there are not people like you who are passionate about the health of the breed, people will just continue to breed for tinies and more and more will suffer.

I would like to ask, Exoticyorkies... Since you say you are a reputable breeder, I assume you do health testing. What types of health testing do you do? This is something that future buyers will want to know. Would you please share this with us? Thanks in advance

Funny thing in All my years Not one Complaint means Im doing something VERY RIGHT and the quality is Improving just look at her coat and look at some of my previous beautiful puppies I am enhancing to better my puppies and I am spending more money to make my Puppies even better Quality for the real yorkie Lovers who want QUALITY BECAUSE THEY Dont settle for less I do my Best just GOOGLE me you will see Not one thing about me negative and check out yorkie talk use your resources I sold dogs on here before and evry last one of them gave me a GREAT REVIEW because I am Good

Before this thread is closed, and before your next breeding, would you at least commit to Googling and reading all that you can on the actual increased health risks to the dog of breeding and producing very tiny Yorkshire Terriers? Just read all that you can and consider whether it is more important in the long run to the dog, to you and to the prospective owner, to have a beautiful, very tiny dog or one that is going to have a better chance of living a longer and healthier life. The expert breeders and vets with a lot of history with this breed generally agree that usually the two are mutually exclusive. Just please consider doing more research with an open mind.
