WTB a female Yorkie I live in Waco TX. Looking for someone close by with traditional color Yorkies. No carrier background , Golds ,chocolate,or parti. I just want a nice standard AKC Female Yorkie. I looked on the ytca.com. It just has alot of names and numbers. It doesn't tell me who has Yorkies. If they don't have one now and will have one later. I'm am willing to wait. Do you think its ok for me just to start calling all these numbers? I had waited to get a yorkie for 6 years so expensive but finally financially able to get, Bitty at 6 months He is traditional not carrier. I took my time and looked for about 10 months to get him. I was told he would be 4.5 pounds ,but he is a 3.3lbs. Hes 9 months now didn't grow a bit. I know no one can be sure on the size. The lady I bought him from was really nice and I trusted her. I am very happy with my little love bug , He is gold and blue pretty teeth no bits and good posture. I was going to get a yorkie for my daughter 12 year old birthday, but it was yesterday. BTW she is very resposable does all her chores makes straight A's and is great with Bitty. Since it is for my daughter i really wanted to make sure it was 4.5 to 5 pounds. I'm not seared she will hurt her. Just want to be safe. So anyways I really don't want it to take another 10 months to find a yorkie. But I know what I want. I waited 6 years and 10 months for first one guess it wont hurt to wait again. Just so hard. lol. Thanks for the info. |
Yes, you can go ahead and just call them. I have found reputable breeders to be very kind ppl. If they have none available, I'm sure they would offer you suggestions of where to turn. There are reputable breeders who do not have web sites, so don't let that throw you. Some have, some don't. They are breeding for quality in their line, not to sell puppies as a way they make their living. |

To be honest with you I really don't know. I know my daughter wants one for her birthday for now. I do have two sisters, two nieces, and three daughters. All love yorkies. I have looked in to it alot and I'm really not sure. My husband has a 4 year old chihuahua she had two litters I helped her with. She is fixed and fat on my bed now. Everyone says Yorkies are so different. I would have to do alot of talking with a vet first and let him see what he thought about the two of them together and alot more research if I did. I'm a stay at home mom of 4 kids, 2 dogs, a blue parrotlet bird, and a fish. We have had are bird for 2 years. Hiddi 4 years. Bitty 4 months I think. And the fish well we buy a new one at lest once a month. Kids are getting big. Don't want moma around all the time. Bitty don't mind. lol. Thanks for all the info guys. I could tell by your posts that you were " thinking" about breeding them, with no experience and no mentor to guide you , you may have to look outside of ytca , most breeders on thier website work VERY LONG AND HARD to perfect their lines and do not sell their dogs without a spay/ neuter contract. Make sure you read up on breeding, I would NEVER want to do it , its just amazing what these woman do and the cost that can/ may occur. These are tiny dogs many of them have complications at birth , 2000.00 c sections and sick puppies that need alot of vetting. My hat is off to those who breed. |
I just love how judge mental alot of you are. I have posted 3 times I think maybe and always rude replies .I would never hurt anything. I wouldn't just try something for fun. I get attached to my dogs. If something happened because of me I would hate myself. My dogs are just like my kids a part of the family. I would do nothing to disrespect them. You have no clue who Ive talked to . I just wan't to find a Female yorkie that is Show quality AKC standers for my daughter. So if I do Breed them there not crap dogs like all yall get mad at everyone for making. Money is no issue if it was I would not have 4 kids. I have one beautiful Yorkie. I'm very prod of . AKC breeder rights for $750.00. Champion blood lines yea hard to find, took a year, but can if you take your time. I have up to 3,000 to spend on a female don't really want to spend that much but thats what I have up for her. I thought i could get pointed in the right direction from yall. I got some good info already from some thanks. I know I can find what My daughter and I want. With or with out your help. Thank you. |

I was however, correct, you WERE looking for a female dog, AKC to BREED if you want to, as you pointed out you already have a MALE AKC dog with breeding rights!!! Please do not put words in my mouth or make it out like I was rude to you, I was not, I was just pointing out the obvious, BREEDING is hard work. IMHO not for everyone. I think if you were HONEST in your OP and said , I am looking for a female AKC dog around 5-6 pounds so I can breed her because my friends and family want a dog you would have received some opinions on that. :eek::rolleyes: So in all honesty you are looking for a female dog for your daughter breeding weight so you can " decide" if you want to breed her. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: |

Otherwise it's just another backyard/hobby breeder situation where you begin with good intentions and tragedy can ensue. Sadly tragedy can ensue with even the very best of intentions which I believe you have. That's why people here may seem judgmental, when you see horror and tragedy over and over and the stories all seem to begin the same, or quite similarly, it's hard not to try and warn someone of what lies ahead especially when you've seen those little suffering brown eyes....... If breeding interests you make connections with the responsible AKC breeders, go to shows, listen and you will learn. The dog show world is very friendly and will usually share above and beyond, they love the dogs beyond reason and love sharing their passion to the truly interested. hth, Jo |

I'm sorry if a post(s) seemed rude to you. I guess we tried to answer your questions w the info we were given, and different advice would have been given if we knew you were interested in a female for breeding. I recommended YTCA, but their breeders would need to get to know you and agree to mentor you before they would sell a female with unlimited registration. I noticed on the other thread you started asking about parti registration, the same problem kind of surfaced. Ppl originally thought you were trying to register a parti you had bought, but then it turned out you were thinking of buying parti female to breed. No I was going to buy a, yes a female yorkie from a lady that the dad was parti. Wanted to know the deal on the partis. The partis are very pretty. I did learn alot about them. I just don't understand all the rude comments. I mean can't you get your point across with out been a troll on every post. I think I came on here being honest telling what I wanted. I did not think I would have to explain everything on here ,( would do with who I buy yorkie from) or be posted as a lier. Every question yall asked me I answered honestly. I really have a 11 year old daughter that wants a yorkie. If I can't find a yorkie with breeding rights. (Witch I can) I will still be getting my daughter a yorkie . I told yall I don't know if I want to breed. I have been doing alot of research . Not something I want to jump in to. Like I said. Someone said something about back yard breeder. And have insist pups. If I had pups It would be one or two litters. Then I would get the dogs fixed. I understand I need to learn alot more. I've been looking for a show to go to. I dont even know the right people to talk to yet. I know I have alot to learn , before I decide what I do about breeding. I may never do it. My daughter wants a yorkie. I do think it is better to get a bigger one for her and if I was to breed I would need it bigger also. I think you can breed 3rd heat to 5 years. Not something I would have to do right away. No I haven't already made up my mind. I don't think I can be in pocketpus anyways. Im not sure but doesnt your yorkie have to be 12lbs. I don't meet qualification. |
