Alright Vicki has been in contact with TunTun, Vicki will be picking up this pup early this evening.

Thanks so much for posting! This has been on my mind all day and I have to leave the house - and actually be PRODUCTIVE (going to sell a house!), so this is a relief.

That is going to be one awkward meet-up.:eek:

I, too, get caught up in the story and want to hear that things are going to be okay. So glad this story ended well for the little puppy. Good luck with selling that house!

I am a newbie and have been following this thread (and the violation thread) all day. It breaks my heart that someone would want to get rid of their new puppy after 3 weeks of owning it. I have had my baby Teddy for 3 weeks and bonded with him instantly. I am a newbie and by no means an expert, but I could never I EVER imagine trying to sell a dog after owning it for 3 weeks. I would do anything for my Teddy. It breaks my heart for this little one. Maybe he will find a furever home with the OP Partpixie? She seems to actually want a puppy. Regardless, I am happy this story has a happy ending.

Hope everything went well with getting this poor little pup back to Vickie. Situations like this are exactly why it is often so difficult to get the really good breeders to part with their puppies when they are not familiar with you.

It is hard enough to let puppies go to someone you know but taking a chance that a stranger will do what is right under any circumstances is so difficult! Why this person would even think of advertising her pup on a forum when the breeder was willing to give a full refund is beyond me. Makes me think I don't know the whole story. Hope no harm was done to the puppy!

But on that note, I did try e-mailing her again. Oddly, she never responded to my personal e-mail but did respond to my work e-mail. Perhaps titles do account for something. At any rate, she had no show quality puppies available, nor any females, but did have a pet quality boy. So I asked to see photos and never heard from her again....

While I would like a puppy from her I would prefer NOT to become a stalker.

Okay as the OP I was so confused when I started reading this thread... I couldnt figure out why everyone thought I had a puppy that needed to be returned! (It looks like the original post might have been deleted? Or I keep re-reading and missing it! :) ) I was out of town when TumTum posted so I missed the whole thing!

Im so happy that the puppy is back with Vicki. (And now it looks like Vicki might have a little girl available! Hope, Hope...)

I would try contacting her again. It could be that she has been very busy.
If you have a phone number for her try calling her. It is always nice to talk to the breeder, more personal than e-mails.

Vicki is easy to deal with and adores these dogs.
A truly wonderful breeder.
Once you own a Durrer dog.....you will never
want another line....they are just incredible !!!!

Perhaps I was a bit blunt. What I was trying to say is that being on this end of it, fielding enquiries from people wanting a puppy from me, there are things in an email that may preclude me from replying or taking the enquiry seriously. I am not saying this is the case but there is that possibility.
I don't know if you are breeding, breeding and showing, or just looking for a pet. Those are three entirely different kinds of enquiries.
If you were originally saying you wanted a show quality, first concern of any breeder is what is your history in the yorkie world? From what you said you wanted to see pictures of the pet quality boy. If you were looking for a show female, why would you want to consider a pet quality male?

So now hopefully this thread will go back to your original intention.

The girl that was just returned is pet quality.

If you are looking for show quality that is a different kettle of fish so to speak.

I know Vicki has some dogs to deliver this wkend, so late afternoon, near dinnertime, might be a good time to personally reach her.

Ha! You missed all the drama! I would call Vicki instead of emailing and just talk to her about what you are looking for. Good luck and make sure you let us know if you get a puppy. My Nicco has Durrer champs (grand- and great-grandparents) and I understand why you love the look!

They ARE gorgeous, aren't they! I understand wanting a pup that is show quality, but to own as a pet. I felt the same way when I shopped for a horse. :) I wanted one that was healthy and gorgeous enough to show, even though I never will. (And whether he is or not, I'll never know...I think he is perfect! I have pics of him in an album on here if anyone wants a look. Guess I'm a proud Yorkie momma and Horse momma! :rolleyes: )

As for another dog for me...Sophia was 6 years old when I got Peyton, so I might wait until Peyton is 6 years old. Might....you never know! ;) maybe I should get on the waiting list now??? :)

I know exactly what you mean. I was in a boating accident a few years ago that left me slightly disabled. I'm not sure that I will be able to show, but I would like to try. So the puppy might end up just being a pet. And thats okay too. Its the look I love. :)

I did converse w/ Vickilyn today. She doesnt have anything available but might in a few months. I will check back then. I'm also going to see about getting on one of their waiting lists. (I was suprised neither she nor Betty Ann mentioned that, but then they probably have A LOT of inquires that lead nowhere.)

I'm not in a rush, so its just sit and wait at this point! (But I expected that.)

You do understand that you would pay for a show quality dog, not pet quality and there would no I'd like to try....the dog would be expected to be Championed and would be with a very, very tight contract.....
