However, to post PRIVATE messages in a public forum is tacky...let's look at them again, and see if you don't think they're private: Alyssa. It was nice talking to you both yesterday and today. I hope it works out for Lexi. PLEASE be very careful in the type of home you place her in. Tinies need a specific type of home and care, prefereably with someone home most of the time with her. I think I was fair in what I offered and realize that it was not the amount you wanted, but sometimes we can't recoup all our money and it's more important to lose a little and know you've placed her in the right home. That's certainly your choice though. As I said to you, I'd be driving about six hours and her vetting with the spay will cost me another atleast $500.00. Should you change your mind, you have my number. As I said to you, I'll gladly supply you with vet references as well as personal references and you are always welcome to come to my home for a visit. More importantly she'd be supplied the best of everything including vet care, have someone home with her all the time and a sister the same size as herself. Good Luck. Elaine Alyssa. My husband said you called today. I just got in from being out with my boys all day. I did just try to call you back. I see your posts on here. As I said to you, my offer stands at $500. I don't know all the specifics about you, your advertisment etc. I'm taking a chance and putting trust here that you're not a broker, but just a young girl that may have made a few mistakes and who needs to find a good home for your little girl. As far as the $$ I will not go over $500. I do have the money to pay for her vet care, food, grooming etc. You are more then welcome to check out my references, come to my home and see my Yorkies and speak to personal references. I've been involved with rescue for at least ten years and have taken in the ones no one wanted. I've spent more then I can tell you on their care. My girls are all spayed, up to date on shots, on heart worm preventative, etc. Believe me, I would do without before they ever did. I think my offer was fair. As I said I will need to vet her and spaying here in NJ (I have the vet bill from Brooke's spaying) is around $500. Sure I could take her to a spay clinic and have it done, but with such a tiny one it is very risky as it is and I would ONLY take her to my vet who I've used for the past 13 years. They use the safest annastgia and they take all precautions including blood work etc. We were very successful having him spay Brooke. She is only 2.5 lbs. full grown. And, again he would be the ONLY ONE I would trust to do it and only when he said it was safe. I'll be home tonight if you want to talk, but again I will not go over $500, but will provide her the best of the best for the rest of her life. And, at any time you would be more then welcome to come to my home and see for yourself the care she is getting. I myself do the home visits for the rescue I work with and I'm very picky about them, and hold myself up to the same or better standard wise. Believe me she'd want for nothing and woud be very happy little girl here and I can assure you she'd never be rehomed again. Elaine
Let's see....she started out with "Alyssa" both times, and ended with "Elaine". Sounds like a private email/message/letter to me!! Also, the bolded portions above are PRIVATE, between Alyssa and Elaine...not the rest of the world!! Good grief! Show some class!! IMO, when you offer up every detail of a private conversation to the general public as Elaine did, you are absolutely showboating! I think it's tactless and rude.
AND AGAIN, I AGREE THAT HER WORD OF CAUTION WAS JUST FINE!! (And personally, I do think people should be warned if anyone has knowledge of anything questionable at all about a person trying to sell anything!) But her airing private conversations for everyone to read is a COMPLETELY different matter, and shows no class on her part whatsoever.
You can disagree if you like...that's your prerogative. Facts are facts though. |
