Sad what people will do and say to sell a pup. Good detective work. |

Lexi I wanted to clarify information so that all who would like to know why I have a ad on hoobly for her. It is true, I had 2 (male/female) yorkies 6 yrs ago and together had one male puppy. I bought the female already bred, she was a four pound girl. She shouldn't EVER been bred! The male had awful knots in him and I spent months grooming him, if you look in my profile you can see a pic of him w/ long flowing hair. I then placed all three into pet homes on spay/neuter contract. I was 16 yrs old at the time and a active high school student that was trying to do something nice for these dogs. I am not a broker or anything like that by any means. I then at age 21 wanted to have a yorkie as I loved those two but knew at the time I couldn't keep them. Lexi is still with me, if I wanted to sell her quick I could have, but didnt. Its sad that the home my parents rented will not allow me to have her. The landlord said it would be on a trial basis to see how she does, but I know he really doesn't want her there. He knows yorkies are hard to housebroke 100%. I placed the ad on hobbly to see if anyone close to me would be wanting her that maybe down the road I could see her and how she turns out. I accidently typed a 6 and not a 7. Like I told Elaine, I appologize. I didn't realize it until she told me. I'm sure Elaine would give Lexi a wonderful home but I am willing to come down to $ 600 . I do have over a 1,000 in Lexi and willing to show documentation to prove this. I had her to the best vet in our area, and done x-rays and blood work to make sure she didn't have liver shunt or luxatting pattella. I can't go any lower than this as I am a college student and would need the money to go towards school. I also taken her to a second vet and consulted him on spaying her and he said to wait until lexi matures, gains weight to be able to spay her. He said it would be risky right now to do so. It could be too tramatic for her..that her small body might not be able to handle a surgery at this age and size. If I can't find a home for Lexi, she will be staying w/ me or a family member. But I wanted to atleast If anyone wants to criticize me thats fine, but I wanted you to have all the facts first. I am only trying to my puppy a forever home and recoup some of the expenses I've spent. I know due to the ecconomy I can't ask a 1,000 , but I am willing to lower my price to $600. I just want a good home for her . I know Elaine was willing to pay $500 BUT I'm taking such a loss already. Please I hope you guys understand. I think thats a fair amount. I will updating my asking price on hobbly for those wondering too. Thanks for looking at my post and please any questions , feel free to ask! |
She's a nice pup... shame :( |

I think this entire thread is a sham. Honestly you are going to say no for a $100 price difference knowing that she would be going to a great home? What is $100 knowing that she'd be well loved and well cared for? I just don't get it, I just don't. Oh, and still not sure you aren't a broker . . .from your own posts when you first joined . .. In 2/07 you had a 2 year old Female and an 8 month old Male, then in June of that same year you acquired another female, 10 months old . . .now you have a 5 month old female? Where did they all go? Something just doesn't add up at all. Your below quote says you had 2 other dogs 6 years ago, which would be 2004. Quote:

I'm sorry I don't know the exact yrs..it seems so long ago to me. I took in a 10 month old female that I bought for $200. She was a big yorkie (12 pounds) and was so timid. The woman was selling her as quick as she could and the puppy was terrible shape, I took her and placed her in a pet home where she could be the only yorkie and w/ out kids. It would been wrong to keep her when she was so fearful of kids as I have a little brother. But I couldn't leave the puppy in the condition she was in. The woman selling her couldn't even move out of a chair and take her out to go potty. I didnt want her to go to a breeding home or worse. So yes, sorry that I have a big heart and took those three yorkies in..would it be better I left them in the homes they were in? I know you guys mean well and trying to make me out to be the bad guy. Its fine. I understand I won't recieve all my money back but I do want to be sure that the person has the money to care for her since she is a tiny one. I guess no one understands that I only want the best for her and to have some of the money I paid for her . I can give you all the phone numbers if a person really wanted to contact where all three went. I have no reason to hide anything. I placed them all in pet homes. I am screening people and checking both vet/personal references. If the person has other dogs that are not spayed/neuter and is a breeder. Lexi will not be going to them. Do you guys question everyone like this? You are more than welcome to contact my vets (both in town and my other vet I use in another town (best in the area). Quote:

I remember meeting a lady who had yorkies that were vacationing down in the outter banks in june of this year. She is a yorkie talk member as well. I wish I remembered her name, she was a sweet woman who had two female yorkies. I took Lexi to the beach w/ me as I didn't want her being at a kennel and aquiring anything. I didn't feel I could leave her w/ anyone but me.. |
I am getting ready to send you a PM about her. |
OOOPs...I have posted to the WRONG thread! Not sure how I got here! Please disregard my previous message about the PM. Sorry! |
Alyssa. My husband said you called today. I just got in from being out with my boys all day. I did just try to call you back. I see your posts on here. As I said to you, my offer stands at $500. I don't know all the specifics about you, your advertisment etc. I'm taking a chance and putting trust here that you're not a broker, but just a young girl that may have made a few mistakes and who needs to find a good home for your little girl. As far as the $$ I will not go over $500. I do have the money to pay for her vet care, food, grooming etc. You are more then welcome to check out my references, come to my home and see my Yorkies and speak to personal references. I've been involved with rescue for at least ten years and have taken in the ones no one wanted. I've spent more then I can tell you on their care. My girls are all spayed, up to date on shots, on heart worm preventative, etc. Believe me, I would do without before they ever did. I think my offer was fair. As I said I will need to vet her and spaying here in NJ (I have the vet bill from Brooke's spaying) is around $500. Sure I could take her to a spay clinic and have it done, but with such a tiny one it is very risky as it is and I would ONLY take her to my vet who I've used for the past 13 years. They use the safest annastgia and they take all precautions including blood work etc. We were very successful having him spay Brooke. She is only 2.5 lbs. full grown. And, again he would be the ONLY ONE I would trust to do it and only when he said it was safe. I'll be home tonight if you want to talk, but again I will not go over $500, but will provide her the best of the best for the rest of her life. And, at any time you would be more then welcome to come to my home and see for yourself the care she is getting. I myself do the home visits for the rescue I work with and I'm very picky about them, and hold myself up to the same or better standard wise. Believe me she'd want for nothing and woud be very happy little girl here and I can assure you she'd never be rehomed again. Elaine |
She is a pretty girl, hope you find her a home soon, your price is very reasonable for a AKC pet. |
I hope you get her! She would seem to be the happiest little girl being with you in your home...Good Luck! :0) Quote:

To jrsygal37: Please do yourself a favor and develop some tact. HOW RUDE!!!! You are essentially giving everyone a running commentary of the specifics of your dealings with this girl...and the TONE!! Those kind of messages should be reserved for a PM if you feel they're necessary. If you feel YT members need a word of caution, so be it...caution them. BUT, the messages you've posted (save your "caution" one) are not only of a personal nature but are also laced with acid! Shame on you! Completely unnecessary! Learn to filter what you say!! I'm sure your mother told you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all!" Again, let me reiterate....if you feel the need to caution other YT members NICELY, that's fine. But the general public (aka general YT public) shouldn't be privy to your running commentary, especially as laced with acid as it is! I'm sure you have lots of friends who know you to be a caring person, but none of that excuses tactlessness, etc... Personally, if I were the OP, I wouldn't let you have my dog for ANY amount of money (not even double what I was asking!) after reading your very 1st post (well, 2nd I guess since your 1st was only a handful of words). People that act the way you did/are make me    !!!! |
So the Question of the day??? Did Elaine get the Dog or Did Alyssa keep her or what??? My concern is for the Baby Girl |
