Looking to buy yorkie--
 
My husband and i are looking to buy a yorkie this summer. I came across this website and have emailed with them to get some basic information. Has anyone gotten a puppy from them?
If so, what did you think?

No, I have not heard of them, but because they sell 5 different breeds I would be suspicious. I don't think you can specialize in that many breeds. I think I would keep looking.

I would not buy from them. puppypetite is a broker and many sick dogs came from there. you can do a search on YT for them and you'll find some bad reviews.

I just got a beautiful baby girl Brielle yesterday from Greens treasured Yorkies " Breny" and she is beautiful. You can see some pics under my thread in general under Brielle aka Gucci. I live in Nj and she was hand delivered to me. Good luck with your search:)

Hi I am in Mich and I have yorkie pups out of my UKC Champion Magic. Meagan on here with Prince is one of his pups. This is a repeat breeding with same sire and dam. All males here with very good lines but most of all very healthy. My vet is buying one of my pups so that tells you what kind of a breeder I am.

These pups are AKC reg. and Magic is working on his championship with AKC, is very close to being finished. Grandsire is Ch Tangletops Blockbuster aks Buster, excellent lines and temperment.

can anyone explain to me about puppy 'brokers'? i have heard that term used a lot, but I am not sure what it is!

Hi Brokers are people that handle selling other people dogs. They get them from many sources but mostly puppy mills. It is a second party seller, they do not own the pups. Hope that helps you.

I have a little girl from Magic and she is just precious, she looks exactly like her daddy. Gail is an excellent breeder and has been so helpful whenever I need her, you can't go wrong with one of her babies.

I also have a puppy from Gail. My Prince is out of the same sire and dam of the new pups. He is an absolutely perfect puppy! I highly recommend Gail and her pups, Prince was very well socialized and fit perfectly into our home. The new pups are absolutely adorable and are a great group of boys! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask! She is one of the most helpful breeders around! Good luck in finding your new puppy!

Thanks Meagan, you forgot to send a picture of that boy, he is another Magical picture perfect baby. I miss not seeing him in the show ring, soon we hope right.

I agree. I strongly advice not buying from puppypetite. The reviews online for them are horrendous! My sister purchased a chihuahua from them a few years back and luckily we've never had a single problem with him (he's such a great little dog!!) But like you stated here, they are broker and you are taking a HUGE risk when buying from them.

hi everyone- my husband and i went and checked out that place on sunday. it was exactly what you all said. i just had to see if for myself.
no worries, we will not be going back!! it was really sad

Good job! I give you credit for doing the legwork and trekking to Brooklyn to see for yourself. I know how it feels when you want that pup right away, but you saved yourself a lot of heartache down the road. That place is bad news. Check the YTCA breeder referral page. There are some great breeders in northern NJ who I think have puppies available.

I give you credit also!! My fiance and I drove 2 hours one way to Lancaster, PA when we started our search. The pups were not in the house, but in a shed outside in pens that have inside/outside doors. Pups were seperated to boys in one pen, girls in another, moms in another, and dads in another. She also had Shiba Inu and Lab puppies....It didn't feel right and I'm very glad we decided to leave (even though the puppies were too cute!)

I'm glad you made the same smart choice, even though it was hard!

It is sicking how some people treat their animals just like livestock. My puppies and dogs are a part of my home and heart. I could not imagine being able to sleep at night treating them like anything less. But, thank goodness you didn't get one because I fear we would be hearing from you in the sick and emergency section. I am very sorry you had to waste your day and experience what you did.

Gizmo has all his shots and I have all his Vet Records. He has a Micro- Chipped just in case he gets lost or someone else claims that’s there dog you have proof. Gizmo is not fixed and the reason for that is I don’t believe in that. Gizmo comes with a playpen which is 36 X 36 His Crate which he sleeps in and his [COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]Bed[/COLOR][/COLOR] which he lays in the living room to watch TV or relax he has plenty of toys. Gizmo is house broken and only goes on pee pads. Since Gizmo is a Teacup [COLOR=green! important][COLOR=green! important]puppy[/COLOR][/COLOR] and only weights 5 pounds I never took him outside felt he was to small so I’ve always keep him inside. He is very friendly with kids or people he loves to play and has tons of energy to run all around your home in seconds. He gets along with other Dogs being that I also own a pit-bull and they get along fine with no problems. I’m not sure about cats because I’ve never had him around one.
