| Where in NJ are you located? I live on the New York/New Jersey border and believe me, I know how hard it is to find the perfect puppy that is reasonable priced as well as within driving distance around here! I ended up finding the perfect breeder in Iowa and had our little baby shipped here and I couldn't be happier!! When looking for local breeders I stumbled upon this website (Breeder Referral). I called a number of breeders on the site and most of their puppies ranged from $1200-$2000+. Depending on how far you are from NY you may also want to try Ken & Nicole Galanter. They are located in Middletown, NY. My mom is in the grooming business in NY and Ken and her used to work together back in the day. His number is 845-361-5683. Happy looking!! Let me know if you need anything |

| There are some very reputable breeders in your area. Please check out the YTCA breeder referral. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club

| Generally, their prices are no higher than most other breeders that invest the time and money into breeding correctly and for health. Exhibitor breeders usually don't have litters very often as they mainly breed for themselves and or their next show dog. Since we know it's almost impossible to have every puppy in a litter have the "it" factor, they occasionally have puppies or sale to pet homes with a limited registration and NOT used for breeding. With them it's quality over quantity. You might find paying a slightly higher price for a quality puppy will actually save you money in the long run...vet bills aren't cheap.. Buying anything over the internet is very risky. Good luck in your search.
