Wanted:Yorkie baby in Virginia,Closer to SouthWest Hi everybody again. We are doing a little better thanks to everyone that helped us through our sad time. We ordered Maddie's headstone last night. We are looking for a Yorkie baby now and cannot seem to find one under $1,000. Maddie's breeder is supposed to be paying us back but we doubt we will see that money. If anyone can help us find a new baby, preferably under $500 and in complete good health with liver shunt test before we take her I would be greatly thankful. We just cannot go through anything even close to what we did with Maddie, I probably would die honestly. If you do not know what I am talking about and don't mind reading my old posts I would appreciate it. But to sum it up my puppy was born March 12th 2009 died October 13th 2009. She weighed 1.4 lbs, had a heart murmur, right valve of her heart failed leaking fluid into her abdomen, low sugar, low iron, and her jugular vein was enlarged, her soft spot never closed and she vomitted all of the time. We stayed at the vet, we was there at least once a week to once every week and a half. And now that I contacted her breeder I believe he is trying to make me the crazy one, trying to ignore me and everything, but his last message was two weeks I will have my money back...we will see. Over $1,500 in vet bills and plus the pain and suffering she had to endure plus my entire family, co-workers, and myself, he could at least do that for us. I think a new furbaby will help me at least. We saved a dog from someone at work that was going to take her to the pound but we are trying to re-home her because I'm not used to a larger dog, but if I cannot give her to someone that I can still see her then I guess we will keep her until I can. Thanks guys.

| Hi Neighbor, I live in SW VA, as well. I just bought a little girl last week from a great lady that lives in NC. She has two boys left from the same litter. She is great to work with and very reasonably priced. If interested, check out this thread for her contact info http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...land-area.html Good luck in your search!

I am very sorry to hear about what happened to your baby. You really need to do your homework before buying a puppy. The first clue is the paperwork and how many different breeds and dogs the breeder has. I would much rather pay a few hundred more when I first buy a baby than buy an ACA pet quality puppy that your are going to pay thousands for later at the vets and tear your families heart out. Please make sure your puppy has some type of quality about what the AKC considers the standard of the breed. Make sure they do not breed other dogs they are not in another building from the family. Look for a small specialty breeder that gives you a health guarantee in your contract. Big Hugs! Et cetera

She was AKC and they had 7 other adult Yorkies but no other breeds. The breeder was supposed to give our money back today but he never called which I figured would happen. I asked him questions before I bought her about health problems and he said none of his ever had any problems expect sugar. Then everytime I called him to tell him what was wrong with her he acted like I was crazy and that he had never heard of such.

That stinks! and as a yorkie breeder that really makes me angry. When you pay good money for a supposeable good quality puppy and you recieved a nightmare. I could not even imagine selling a puppy like that. Once I found out about it the right thing to do would have been to take the puppy back and give you a healthy puppy or your money back. Well, years ago I went through that with a breeder in Upperstate NY. Puppy was nothing like I ordered had heart problems et cetera. I sent the money to the man and he shipped the puppy to BWI airport. NEVER WILL I DO THAT AGAIN! I talked to my vet and she called the breeder letting them no they were going to back me up when I decided to take them to court. He finally sent me another puppy and I gave it to a nice family since it was really bad pet quality. I learned many lessons after that. Very Very sorry keep on them good luck searching for your new baby.

I don't know how far you are from me, but I just drove 4 hours to meet Marianne. She bought Wally. She drove 8 hours to meet us. (She lives in Long Island , New York.) Chester is still available. Today he had his third set of shots and weighed 3.5 at 14 weeks old. I would be more than happy to meet you as well!

| I just bought Wally from cliffick. He is the greatest little guy. He got a clean bill of health from the vet. He is 14weeks and 2.5. He has been with us for a week now. He is a bundle of nothing but joy. If I were you I would talk to her and find out the info on his brother Chester.

He didn't follow through Saturday about calling us with the money, so expected of him of course. We had already fallen in love with her in I knew that if I had taken her back to him he would have just let her died, I at least wanted to try to save her ya know? But I guess I failed...

Awwww how could you say that you failed. I look at life like what ever happens was suppose to. You came into that babie's life to see her through and you gave her a happy loving home, and best care you possible could. Its not your fault that you trusted someone to sell you a healthy puppy and they took your money with no regard what so ever obviously for that baby. I would also call him and tell him you are filing a complaint with AKC. I would certainly have your vet call him or if I had to I would call a lawyer. I wish you were closer to me to come see my babies. I have a totally cute little girl and boy and their siblings. Hugs! Last edited by Nikis2; 11-08-2009 at 06:22 PM.

That's the main problem...I was not worried about registering her I just wanted a baby, we ended up moving about four months after getting her, I told my husband to get her papers from the top of his closet when he went to do the finishing cleaning to the old house, but he forgot to get it. So I have no id number, litter number or anything to hold up in court. I found a lady that lives about an hour or so away that has puppies and she sent me photos which I totally loved one of them, but there is no way I can pay $700 for another puppy. We paid $500 for Maddie but that was having a yard sale every weekend and selling stuff like crazy on Ebay just to make sure that I had the money to get her the day that he could let me get her. Now I have to sell stuff on Ebay just to pay my credit card payments for her vet bills. She was worth every minute and dollar, but her breeder is a butt and very inconsiderate. I miss her so much I cannot stand it.

Unfortunately, the only yorkie puppies you are going to get at that price is of poor quality and health. The price sounds great but the heart ache and expense just isn't worth it later. Even if they are not sick when you bring them home they age very quickly. If I were you I would wait and save more money till you can afford to get a quality yorkie that is AKC from a reputable breeder
