We are looking for a Yorkie puppy to add to our family. We want a female but would seriously consider a male too. I have checked in my area and can not find a breeder. I'm leary of purchasing off the internet due to all the scams. Does anyone know a honest, reputable breeder in NC or even SC? We are willing to drive. I am in Wilmington, NC

Also, I would appreciate any advice you have on the puppy buying process. I didn't know any better and bought my first puppy in a pet store. My yorkie, Sunny, died this past June at age 13 and we miss her terribly. The house is too lonely without her and now we are ready to find another furbaby! I have learned about puppy mills, etc. and want to do it right this time.

Oh my goodness...Jan is who i choose to be my breeder....I met her at a dog show in Hickory back in Sept.

I loved her when i met her....and her babies were so gorgeous. Ladyhawk how was your experiences with Jan??? PM me is your must!!

I am so sad for you...I don't know what would happen if I lost my little girl. I have Yorkie puppies for sale right now. I live in the Mountains, a good drive for you...I will be glad to send you some pics or information if you would like.

Any luck on finding a yorkie? I too live in wilmington, nc and am looking to buy a yorkie. with all the scams on the internet, i'm scared to buy from anyone but local dealers. unfortunately I know of none and am hoping this may provide me with a little help.

Hello! We couldn't find anyone local. We actually drove to Sparta - near Boone to get our Ginger. We found her here on YT. There are a few breeders around Winston and some up in the mountains. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck in your search!

Congrats on your new puppy. I am in Wilmington as well. I have a yorkie poo. I do know there is a lady in Ogden who has a litter or two a year of Yorkie's. She had puppies around christmas.
