| So glad you found her her forever home. I'm sure it's lonely for you. I'm dreading having pups as I'm going to not want to get rid of any of them. That has to be the hardest part of breeding |

| Thanks.......I think there are a lot of hard times being a breeder. First I am a nervous wreck the whole pregnancy. Making sure she doesn't jump, taking her vitamins, eating right, not going into eclampsia. Than its close to delivery time. OH MY GOODNESS!!! That is difficult for days watching not getting any sleep checking every hour on the hour to make sure the Mommy to be is ok. Than the delivery totally no fun. Making sure Mom is eating, baby are all nursing et cetera. 5 days after that the tails and dew claws I especially hate doing that. Than the potty training, socializing, shots worming and all the other fun things with raising a healthy litter. When you finally find a wonderful family for your baby and you see those loving happy faces. It is so worth being a breeder at that moment. That is the best and than all the pictures and stories as they all grow into beautiful healthy loving adult dogs. After all that is over and they are all gone I cry for a few days missing them all so much, those kisses, faces, smells. Before you no it I am excited to do it all over again. I love it! |

| That is all so true - I only have 1 female and 1 male and they lost the whole litter prematurely last week. (I posted under breeder during the ordeal). They had a beautiful, healthy litter of four over 2 years ago. I am still in contact with all 4 homes and get pictures regularly. One of the little girls lives about 5 miles from me and it is such a joy to see her and how happy the family is with her. I only wish I had kept one of them!! All four families know I would take them back in a heartbeat if they needed to be rehomed for ANY reason! They will forever be a part of me. I was SO excited about this litter and FOR SURE was going to keep one - but that didn't work out.....we are heartbroken. My point is - it is VERY exciting but truly much stress, expense, sleepless nights etc. I hope your litter coming up due goes well for you!! I'll be thinking of you!

| Thanks I think for the most part people are really good about keeping you up to date on their new babies. But, on the other hand we have to as breeders keep an open line of communication going from both ends. I always try to check in via email mostly. Sending little jokes useful infromation I might ofcame accross et cetera |
