Littlebits mom... I am SO sorry that people have started an unnecessary discussion on your post. If people wanted to discuss this issue then they should have posted elsewhere. Emma is beautiful and I would love to adopt her... don't know if I could actually convince the hubby another dog is a good idea though. |
She is such a beautiful dog. :) I hope (well I know!) that you will find the perfect home for her. Good luck. Keep us updated on your search. |
Well..... Everyone has their own opinions and feelings and some I understand, some I don't. If everyone was the same, this world would be a boring place. I love my Emma, but as someone else said, being a breeder, it's hard to let any of them go. Puppies included. I can't keep them all or I would. One more mouth is not a big deal to feed...especially small mouths like Yorkies, and this is my first one that I have retired to find a home for. Yes, it was a huge decision that I wrestled back and forth with, but feel it would be best for Emma to find a nice home with someone who can give her more attention, she deserves that. I don't expect everyone to understand, especially those who don't breed. That's ok, I'm not upset with the ones who posted thier comments on here, whom I could have gotten upset with. It's not easy by any means, but you do what is best for your children. Thank you to those who came to my defense. I really appreciate that!!! I did get her spayed, up to date on her shots, and her dental work done. The amount of money I am asking is not a lot, doesn't cover the vet bill, but that's just fine, I am not trying to make money off her, I just wanted to make sure that the person who is applying for her is going to be able to take care of her properly. A lot of people who see a cheap Yorkie will take them and can't afford proper care. Emma is not show quality, but she was always bred with Goliath, who is show quality. Her pups always turned out excellent. Ears up (not like hers who the tips flop down---which I think is adorable)great thick hair and her and Goliaths temperment, which is unbelievable!! Thank you all for commenting and I am sure the right person will apply for her, or she will stay with me until they do. I am pretty picky....ask Patti....love you Patti!!!!! Jill |
Also I have not had Emma since birth, I have had her approximately 3 years. I got her and Missy from a lady who could not care for them any longer. They both adjusted very quickly and quite well. I believe Emma will do the same with her new family, when that happens. |
What a beautiful little girl .Love the ears . |
Emma I have been talking with a lady from MN who has a friend who is a cancer patient and needs a companion. Emma may be going to live with her. We are discussing things right now. If something happens, she will keep Emma. I will keep you updated. |
Jill...I am so glad to see that you may have a home for Emma. She would do wonders for the lady with cancer! I'm sorry that people felt a need to bash on your thread. That is so unnecessary! I have seen before where people are judged for finding a new home for a retired yorkie. It is no one's business and I feel bad that you felt you had to defend yourself. I know you are a wonderful breeder and a person with a heart of gold. I will never forget you giving Lewis that yorkie after he turned Maddie over to Denise. You didn't have to do that, but you did it out of the kindness of your heart, and I know of other acts of kindness you have shown others. I know that coming to the decision to rehome Emma was heart wrenching for you. I send you hugs and best wishes that Emma finds a wonderful home. As for you that can't seem to zip your lips, go start a thread in another section. This is a for sale thread. |

((((((((((((Hugs to you Jill)))))))))))))) tears flow being happy for Emma and the lady that might get her, knowing what a blessing Emma will be for this lady's friend. My prayers to her that this cancer will leave her body and she will be blessed with many years together with Emma. It is amazing what these precious furbabies can do for one, just ask Jack. He went from not being able to smile (Parkinsons Disease) to :mensmiley: which I thought I would never see again, it really was heart wretching watching him struggeling to smile, NO MORE, praise God and for the miracles of furbabies. Thanks to Yorkie Talk and caring breeders such as yourself..... for the joy you bring unto the lives of YT families here. God's Blessings to you Jill and your family. Hugs, Patti and Jack and girls. |

No hard feelings... I have no hard feelings, like I said, everyone is different, that's what makes the world such an interesting place. I only have the best interests at heart for Emma. She will be going to live with Omega's (Teri) friend, Delrita in MN, who has cancer and needs a companion. Teri will be overseeing her and if at anytime Delrita can not care for her, she will live with Teri and her Yorkie Kaya. I am sure some of you realize how healing a dog can be. I know when we got one for my grandpa, from a breeder who was retiring her at 5 years of age, it gave him something to live for. It was unbelievable what the two of them did for each other. After seeing that, and hearing Teri's friends story, I am thrilled to be part of this process. I am positive that her and Emma will form a wonderful bond and will be a perfect match. Thanks to everyone who had kind words and encouragement. I ask now that you all would please think about Delrita and if you pray, please pray for her and Emma. Thank you! Jill |
LilBits Mom - you're a very special lady! |
Bless you Jill for finding a wonderful family for Emma! I hope she is happy there and brings joy to this new family in the mist of their medical situation. Being a cancer survivor myself, i know that these babies definitely work miracles with their everlasting love!! BTW...4 of my girls are from all different breeders that had to part with them for one reason or another so i know how hard this decision is for you. |
I am SO excited to be able to get Emma for Delrita. She had a small dog at one point but it got old and died and she has been wanting another. Something else I was going to do to get her a dog ended up not working out. She wants a small dog so badly to help her through this tough time. When I read about Emma, my heart told me to go for it! :D Jill is being so wonderful about it. I can't thank her enough for giving up her sweet Emma to go to this home. I hope she will be blessed beyond measure for her unselfish decisions. We can't judge people - not unless we have lived in their exact circumstances. Everyone has different ideas and ways of doing things... that doesn't make someone wrong just because they don't do things the same we do. Bless you Jill for the many things you have done for others. :) |
I am so thrilled to hear this wonderful news! Emma will be so good for Delrita and I know little Emma will be loved beyond compare. I'll be praying for Delrita and Emma and for Omega to have safe travels in getting Emma. Omega...please tell Delrita I say congrats and I'm so happy for her! I've said it before and I'll say it again....Jill...you have a heart of gold! |
Thank you!! Thank you to all who inquired and posted about Emma, I was going to ask Admin to close this thread now, but I think I will leave it open until Emma leaves, so I can let you all know how things went and what Delrita thinks about her. |
