Exactly, and how about when those puppies go to their new home, no protection. I would never buy a dog from a breeder like you.

i realize this opens a can of worms, and everyone must educate themselves .
but, popular opinion is not always the best way to go...i cannot follow the crowd on this one.. it is too important.. i am sorry you dont agree.
but, i will not continue to harm my pets when i know the truth about vaccines... it is the vaccine companies and the vets who refuse to test these vaccines...it really is about the money for them.... just like the dangerous dog foods we all know about now,,... 5 or 10 or 20 years ago, no one thought animal by products were a bad thing..
i hope those giving vaccines will do more research before filling another syringe..

I agree buying a puppy from a breeder who doesn't properly vaccinate is asking for troubles. I really think she needs to stop before she misinforms any more people and inadvertantly hurts a helpless puppy too.

actually, i am looking for homes where they will not be poisoned...
with what i have learned recently, my pets will not be reproducing anymore.
i have had 4 litters and expecting our 5th litter.. my females will be spayed
very soon.. i have learned a lot in the past 3 years.as a new breeder..times have changed...and breeding more puppies is not a good idea... but, i am very satisfied with my decision to not hurt them with unnecessary vaccines...
i will be waiting many years before breeding if i ever do again... i am considerring the holistic path of raising my pets using the raw diet
and no more vaccines... there is a large group of people who are successfully raising dogs without vaccines.. producing healthy vigorous lines without diseases introduced into their genetic make up...
if you take the time to read about natural immunity and try to understand
why vaccines are dangerous, then maybe you will understand..
but, just going with the flow will not help anyone understand why ...

Do you have children? If so, did they have all their shots as babies? Would you have thought twice about NOT vaccinating your children against diseases?

I know we've all been vaccinated. I am glad I was too, because without being vaccinated, most of us probably wouldn't have existed by now! You don't want any of your puppies having shots, and if the people that are buying your dogs and listening to you, they won't ever be able to take the pups to get groomed, or be boarded out, because in order to do that, they have to have their shots, and if they do get them in to a groomer without their shots and the pup gets sick and dies, it's no ones fault but yours and the people who have bought their dogs from you and abided by what you want and not what's best for the pups. And as far as autism, yes, I have heard of it, and no one knows what is causing autism.

I'm sure that's covered in her health guarantee.

For the record...the reason polio has been eradicated is soley because of vaccinations.

I've got to say I'm pretty infuriated by your post. I grew up at a time when Polio was still very much a threat and many children I knew were getting it, it was thought a death sentence an if you survived you would be severely handicapped by it. Do some research on the small pox, and what a terrible disease that is as well. Many third world countries are still suffering from diseases because of the cost of vaccines. Do a search on vaccines and Africa, "the whole freakin world has not been vaccinated." With anything we do in life there is some risk, scientist measure the probability of the risk involved, and hands down the benefits of vaccines clearly outweigh the risks. You are choosing to ignore scientific evidence, as well as educated breeders, and pet owners. To not protect your dogs against an excruciatingly painful illness is extremely negligent. My guess is that you really know better, but the breeding game didn't make much money for you, so now you'll become a holistic dealer, and try to make money off of other ignorant people.

I think the parvo vaccination is absolutely necessary but as was stated before, timing is essential.

I was at my vets today and they said they have been seeing lots of parvo in puppies lately. This is plain rude. Knowing Jen personally and owning one of her dogs I have to say in her defense that this is completely incorrect and insurmountably arrogant. She does NOT breed for money, she holds a highly respectable position in the medical field. Her dogs are treated like family members, she treats her buyers like family members and she is treating the people attacking her in this forum with more condescension than they have earned as well.
Also being a certified health practitioner I am certain that we have more access to RECENT research and experience than the majority and on these principles and the advice of OUR VETRINARIANS and other PROFESSIONALS we have based decisions that have improved the health of our famililes and dogpacks.
If you insist on defending your allopathic stance let it be with documented research from medical and vetrinary professionals and not sleezy character attacks on those that contradict your conception of reality.

Anyone that is in the "health field" should realize that certain vaccinations are necessary to keep us healthy. I just hope and pray that your pup stays healthy, and that in a few mos. I'm not reading on here about it being sick or dying because it was not given it's proper vaccines

I do understand that it is very serious--that is why so many people have commented on the subject. And trust me, I have done my research too on both sides of the coin and consider sources other than just my vet. (Should I go into details about the Doberman I accompany to acupuncture treatments who has been treated successfully by that, massage treatment and holistic herbs for 10+ years now vs having the vet recommended surgery.) I am open to all forms of treatment and take the time to educate myself on those that apply to my dogs. Some I've researched and decided not to mess around with.
It all boils down to a matter of preference. You have already contradicted yourself and proven that there were holes in your own research, posted links to back up your claims of "new threats" without reading them first and the sources were years old and from non reliable sources--yet you are criticizing others for their research and knowledge of the subject...a subject which you have only in previous months become an advocate of. (evident by your own admission recent puppyfind listings regarding vaccinating your pups)

The concern people have is that others will read everything and take it for fact and make serious decisions for their dogs based on inadequate sources that have been cited. Nothing more. Everyone is open to learning more about healthier alternatives, but when the facts cannot be presented...it makes people doubt and wonder...
