| I am looking for a new puppy. I want one at least 5lb fully grown. I have a neutered 2 year old yorkie now and would love to find him a sister or brother. Parti yorkies and common yorkies are welcome. I would like to know the parents of the baby and hopefully I wouldn't have to have the baby shipped.... any help?

| Yes, 5 lbs is in standard of a yorkie. Sometimes people call the OVER 7 pounders teapots. I think it's cute.

| Jen great suggestion. There are so many larger Yorkies in rescue. The poster can also check out Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten.. Good Luck in your search. Elaine |

I suppose she could just call it 'big girl'? But I don't see the need. I don't find anything wrong with the the word 'Teapot' as a descriptor. | |

I think it is a cute way to describe size not like the term Tea cup which is used to charge more for a dog.

| Good luck finding your new fur baby! I think the term, "teapot" is a hoot!! We call Harley our keg because he surpasses the teapot and even crock pot size....he's an adorable 21lbs. ![]() Have fun with your puppy search...very exciting for you. ![]() Tammy |
