|  Yorkie wanted for next spring (2009) My husband and I are looking to adopt a puppy around March/April of next year. We are both in our late twenties with no children, our own home, and a fenced backyard. We live in Suffolk Virginia and will spoil our furbaby to no end. | Welcome. This is a good time to start looking for a breeder who is planning to have a litter ready in the spring. Puppies take about 2 months to be born (63 days usually) and good breeders keep them about 10-16 weeks before they are ready for their new homes. Just keep reading, and you'll find lots of good breeders on YT, as well as other good information. Good luck.

| thank you katelin and chattiesmom! I have already found so much great info on this site, and everyone is so nice. I've filled out a few applications already so I'm just waiting to hear back.
